How can this even be happening you say? Well, the warnings and signs have been there all along.

Two officials from the Council on American-Islamic Relations will be attending the State of the Union address Tuesday as guests of Democratic lawmakers.

Reps. Zoe Lofgren (Calif.) and Alcee Hastings (Fla.) will both be hosting representatives from CAIR chapters in their respective states, the group announced Monday.

Lofgren will be bringing Sameena Usman, a government relations coordinator in the San Francisco office, while Hastings will host Nezar Hamze, the chief operating officer of the nonprofit’s Florida branch.

The announcement comes days after Rep. Keith Ellison (D-Minn.), the first Muslim elected to Congress, challenged Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) to bring a Muslim American as one of his guests to the speech.

“This is an opportunity to really drive the point home that there are no Americans who are suspect just based on their religious identity, that all Americans are welcome in the people’s house,” Ellison said in an interview with The Hill.

Demoratic National Committee Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.) has also urged Democratic lawmakers to bring Muslims to the speech as a rebuke to what she sees is anti-Islamic language from the right.

“The rhetoric and vitriol that has been targeted at this community has been absolutely outrageous and unacceptable,” Wasserman Schultz said at a news conference according to The Sun-Sentinel.

The DNC and the Obama administration is inviting 2 members of CAIR to tonight's speech. This is the same organization with ties to the Muslim brotherhood. There are Muslim brotherhood links to ISIS that some will admit are there and some that are not. Those admitting it would be places that have been overrun such as Egypt but not here in the US. At least not by the POTUS.

Sameena Usman is from San Fran. She was outspoken after the SB attacks and wanted to make sure that people did not lump all of Islam together after the attack and I agree. All Muslims are not evil but if they are associated with a group with known terror links it is a little unsettling and they should do more to prevent. Everytime this happens they were a 'quiet' follower...

Nezar Hamze is from Florida and is a Sheriff. In December of this year, days after SB, he traveled to the Tampa, Florida area to perform weapons training at the Daarus Salaam Mosque, also known as the Islamic Society of New Tampa (ISONET), a mosque associated with all three US groups named to UAE’s terror list and known ties in the Tampa community.

Now, this is being done when Obama has said nothing about the Islamic against the police in Philly as well as telling us all not to hate Islam after the SB killings of over a dozen US citizens. The DOJ warning about hate speech towards Islam.

Here is a full list of attendees....

That they are inviting people from an org that is not the Muslim Brotherhood?

Unless these people themselves have the ties, your title is nothing but click bait.

Obama is obviously close with the Muslim Brotherhood. It's quite unsettling when you hear what some of their top representatives think about America, Christians, etc.

There was some documentary about this topic, the name of it is missing me right now but it was eye-opening, that's for sure.

Politically, it makes sense though.

CAIR has very close ties to the Muslim Brotherhood - many of the same members..

The Investigative Project on Terrorism reported that on August 7, 2007, a Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) agent testified at the Holy Land Foundation trial that CAIR was "listed as a member of the Muslim Brotherhood's Palestine Committee", that it had received money from the Foundation (conflicting with Nihad Awad's Congressional testimony), and that co-founders Awad and Omar Ahmad were "listed as individual members [of] the Brotherhood Palestine Committee in America."[45]

(Facepalm)
The title of this thread is so ludicrously wrong that I genuinely despair of humanity.

Ya I have heard that before, but that doesn't mean all of them are.

My point was that the title says it is members of Muslim Brotherhood and that isn't the case.
And your wiki lists two people, not sure that is many.

I'm more offended that this ignorant bigot is invited to attend.

Kim Davis to attend Obama’s final State of the Union address.

Funny thread.

Wasn't there a few members working in the private sector that were also brought up on some "terror watch list," or something like that?

I vaguely remember reading an article about it.

Yeah... hereit is.

As for the title... just roll with it. "Political hit piece," is the name of this game... it just kind of sucks whenever the article is radically different than the title.

I don't care who they invite.

They could invite members of ISIS. But it'd be hard telling the slimy terrorists from the slimy politicians.

Might as well face it, the US wants to win the "War on Terror" the same as they want to win the "War on Drugs" or the "War on Poverty".

Meaning, not at all.

This is politics.

It's more important to look like you are doing something than actually doing something.

It's an emotional feel-good tactic that will get tweeted and maybe start a #_________LivesMatter meme.

It also shows how easily fooled the American public is.

Yes, the title is definitely incorrect though. I've seen a number of media outlets claiming it is Muslim Brotherhood members attending when they are CAIR members.

But, in reality many of these other groups/organizations are literally an extension of the MB, with identical aims

More info on CAIR's background www.investigativeproject.org...

and a little infographic on CAIR, MB, other groups in Bay Area:

Scratch the Muslim Brotherhood - this should be the focusing point.

I thought it was a joke... but it's not a joke... even though, it is kind of a joke.

That lady is something else, I'm telling you.

They should honestly invite the Muslim Brotherhood, and re-enact Celebrity Deathmatch - that's a State of the Union I want to watch.

Not listen to some hateful-Christain preach about sanctity of marriages on her way back from filing for divorce.

Your OP is a lie. No one from the MB is invited to this State of the Union address. Declaring that links have been found between CAIR and the MB doesn't automatically mean that these people are MB.

Where does it state Muslim Brotherhood in the article?

There's a cross section of organisations he has had dealings with over the last 12 months and a number of citizens from across the demographic make up of the U.S.

Council on American-Islamic Relations Tampa FL has been repeatedly victimized by arsonists over the years. I have never seen a report of their members attacking or victimizing others but their members have been attacked.

Indeed, CAIR incites, funds, and does much more vis-à-vis terrorism: It apologizes for terrorist groups: Challenged repeatedly to denounce Hamas and Hezbollah as terrorist groups, CAIR denounces the acts of violence but not their sponsors.

It is connected to Hamas: Hamas, designated a terrorist organization by the U.S. and many other governments, indirectly created CAIR and the two groups remain tight.

Examples: In 1994, CAIR head Nihad Awad publicly declared his support for Hamas; the Holy Land Foundation (HLF), a Hamas front group, contributed $5,000 to CAIR; in turn, CAIR exploited the 9/11 attacks to raise money for HLF; and, this past August, demonstrators at a CAIR-sponsored rally in Florida proclaimed “We are Hamas!”

It settled a lawsuit: CAIR initiated a libel lawsuit in 2004 over five statements by a group called Anti-CAIR. But two years later, CAIR settled the suit with prejudice (meaning that it cannot be reopened), implicitly acknowledging the accuracy of Anti-CAIR’s assertions, which included:

“CAIR is a terrorist supporting front organization that is partially funded by terrorists”;

“CAIR . . . is supported by terrorist supporting individuals, groups and countries”;

“CAIR has proven links to, and was founded by, Islamic terrorists”; and

“CAIR actively supports terrorists and terrorist supporting groups and nations.”

It includes individuals accused of terrorism: At least seven board members or staff at CAIR have been arrested, denied entry to the U.S., or were indicted on or pled guilty to (or were convicted of) terrorist charges: Siraj Wahhaj, Bassem Khafagi, Randall (“Ismail”) Royer, Ghassan Elashi, Rabih Haddad, Muthanna Al-Hanooti, and Nabil Sadoun.

It is in trouble with the law: Federal prosecutors in 2007 named CAIR (along with two other Islamic organizations) as “unindicted co-conspirators and/or joint venturers” in a criminal conspiracy to support Hamas financially. In 2008, the FBI ended contacts with CAIR because of concern about its continuing terrorist ties.

The United Arab Emirates’ ministerial cabinet had listed the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) as one of 83 proscribed terrorist organizations, up there with the Taliban, al-Qaeda, and ISIS.

The piece on CAIR?

The entire article cites FBI memorandums and actual court cases, without speculative or subjective material within it.

Sorry if you disagree with the facts for whatever personal reasons, but that doesn't change the validity of them
