Only One

I only picked one, I just picked one for you,
The most unique, the brightest color and hue.
The one that reminds me what I already knew,
I picked only one, because only one would do.

I walked into the middle of a field of flowers,
Took my time, searched for hours and hours,
I looked at each one, and tossed them aside,
None of them could tell you what I feel inside.

And as the day grew old, I was about to give up,
I saw it there, one that was just perfect enough,
Unmatched in its beauty, not another compared,
Reminded me of you when I first viewed it there.

I picked only one, though I could've picked plenty,
I picked only one, cuz only one would mean any,
Thing to a person who's as sweet and kind as you,
I picked only one, the only one that would do.
