I want the so-called Socialist candidates to propose a feasible plan to end poverty.

I know of one, but nobody is even close to it.

That would be Hillary's Hubble Telescope?

What "you want," is completely unrealistic and most adults that prefer serious discussion would know that no one single person or administration can simply, "end poverty," for when it comes to poverty, there is a myriad of variables at play that make the matter quite complicated.

But by all means - continue on with the, "Hilary Hubble," jokes, that's clearly on-topic and quite brazenly shows the lack of respect you have when it comes to discussing these issues.

Since you know of a proposal to "end poverty," enlighten us, X.

I feel this way too. When a President Obama was first elected,in his speech he said(paraphrasing here)"We are the ones we have been waiting for".He got me for a moment.I do still have hope.

That's why Obama is a predator. His cheap, empty slogan preyed on the hopes of millions.

And cheap, empty slogans, are still being used to prey on the hope of millions.

"Make America Great Again," is "Hope and Chnage," all over again.

"But this time, it'll be different!"

"Return America to Prosperity."
- Somebody in 2020

How the American people have not seen this for what it is, baffles me.

Bernie has to take back his absurd tax comments like 90% tax rate on the rich or He will never win.He has to come down to and back to Earth with some of His tax plans.

Bernie's only presenting two programs that will tax the middle class. The first one is the single payer universal healthcare bill. This will be a 2.2% increase on income under $200,000. However, when you factor in the cost savings of no longer having to pay for insurance premiums, copayments, x-rays, etc., it will likely result in a savings for many. The second tax increase will be from the Paternal Leave Act. This will result in a minuscule tax increase of roughly $1.85 per week. The benefit far outweighs the cost.

This is "some of his tax plans" you mentioned -- for the middle class

Its human to have hope. Me too. Not for them, they prey on that. Game animals hope lions won't eat them, too.

Looks like Hillary is sicking her daughter on Sanders. Talk about using your children for political campaigning.

Chelsea Clinton Takes on Bernie Sanders

Until now, Chelsea Clinton has shied away from directly naming Sanders in her speeches. She took a shot at the Vermont senator when asked by a young voter how to best galvanize young Americans, who are excited about Sanders' candidacy.

The youngest Clinton was on the defensive. “I never thought that I would be arguing about the Affordable Care Act or Obamacare in the Democratic primary,” Clinton said at an event in Manchester. “Senator Sanders wants to dismantle Obamacare, dismantle the CHIP program, dismantle Medicare and private insurance.”

Well I saw this on a pamphlet that some student apparently wrote for some class they are in.

Let's pick it apart.

For grins & giggles, I agree to advocate in favor, for the sake of argument.

The numbers might be correct.

There's nothing on the internet either, so everybody will have to analyze on their own here.

They also mentioned this is unique to the U.S. and not to be compared to the UK, Europe, Asia, India, Australia, Canada, Mexico or South America or anywhere else.

1. Eliminate all Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, VA medical, and most (or all) welfare.

The U.S. Government spents per year: (general numbers and programs)

$900 billion Social Security

$600 billion Medicare

$300 billion Medicaid

$350 billion Welfare and Unemployment

$2.15 trillion TOTAL

2. Pay $25,000 annually to each U.S. Citizen (Citizens only no exceptions)

Cost (300 million Citizens) = $2.1 trillion

check every 2 weeks

no income tax federal or state on the $25,000

withhold payroll tax 8% on everybody

automatic enroll in private minimum insurance policy covering everything

children under 18 get savings bonds (every 2 weeks) until 18, then a check
bonds held in Treasury safekeeping account
available at 18

3. Increase regular earned income payroll tax to 8% with 8% employer match

4. Nit-Picky petty jealousies aside, don't micro-manage

5. This ends the burdens on the bankrupt State and Local systems.

6. This partially relieves future bankrupt public pension plans.

7. Relieves employer headaches involving health insurance.

Any Questions?

Now, where's BERNIE ?

I already declared there is no internet source.

Focus on the outline, not me or anybody else.

I agreed to advocate "in favor" for the Hell of it.

I think it might be the "Socialists" answer.

It takes the endless political arguments out and minimizes partisan bickering.

Rebuttals please.

No. Since you are making this up as you go along, I will not offer a 'rebuttal.'

I still don't see Debbie Wasserman Shultz and the DNC moving to Sanders' side. If anything, they're doubling down on Clinton.

These are part of the Clinton machine...and they will look to destroy Sanders if Hillary feels he becomes a real threat to her coronation.

Because Bernie is not beholden to the Wall Street Money Machine. It would be interesting to see what the DNC would do were he the nominee. I don't think it will happen due to 'back door' convention wrangling (as in Wallace not being on the ticket with FDR the last time even though there was overwhelming support from the floor for him as FDR's running mate.

That said, if the DNC were to back him whole heartedly then we will see the wraith of the 'so-called - but not in fact' liberal hollywood media finance machine come down on him with a propaganda wave unseen in this country since Upton Sinclair ran for Governor of California in 1934 I think.

HRC is getting scared. She flat-out lied (and Chelsea too ) about Senator Sanders Medicare for all plan (and not it doesn't rob the wealthy to help the poor (I have trouble seeing what's so bad about that - the wealthy rob the poor all the time).

www.commondreams.org...

National Nurses United added its voice to those defending Sanders' proposal, accusing Clinton of deliberately distorting the facts.

"Surely Hillary Clinton knows that Medicare and Medicaid are national programs, and that they would be funded as national programs," said NNU co-president Jean Ross. "To claim that expanding Medicare to all would hand it over to state governors is a crude, inflammatory distortion, and shows an indifference to all those people who continue to be harmed by a broken system."
