He doesn't actually want to live with the buyer! The clause is that he'll be able to rent the house until such time that he dies or moves.

The house may come with Hef, but Hef comes with the ladies; therefore, Hef can stay if I buy the Playboy Mansion.

...But do the ladies come with Hef?

Well, Hef is Hef and will have at least $200 mil, until the tax man comes, but he's retired and has money to spend. So the question is, is old man Heffner tired of the ladies? He'll probably settle down with a 21 year old.

According to the following article, He is worth 50M and the house is actually owned by Playboy Enterprises which sounds like its owned by his kids.

I think part of the motivation to sell the house is that most houses in the area are going for $60 – $80 million. So if they can find a sucker to pay 200 Million before the brand totally dries up and that allows him to stay there till he dies , why not.

I'm thinking the further the years go the less relevant playboy becomes so they are trying to cash out before the bubble bursts and Hef dies, but that is just a guess on my part.

Interestingly, most people assume Hugh himself actually owns the famous Playboy mansion, but in fact he does not. Playboy Enterprises owns the house and Hefner must pay an annual fee to cover rent and other expenses like food and parties. In typical years, that rent comes to around $1 million. And yes, that also includes the room and board for Hefner's live in girlfriends. In January 2016, Playboy Enterprises announced that it was putting the mansion up for sale for $200 million.

Interesting stuff in regards to expenses , but the part I find most interesting is that he was worth over 200 Million at one time and has almost 50M in assets and is still bringing in almost 300K a month , but he is only getting $1,896 in Social Security ?

Monthly income:
– Salary from Playboy: $116,667
– Social Security: $1,896
– Dividends and interest: $121,099
– Rental property: $17,058
– Income from HMH Productions: $15,808
– Pensions and retirement: $413
– Other miscellaneous income: $17,639
–Total monthly income: $290,580

And here's how Hugh spends his millions per month:

– Rent (including groceries, household supplies, utilities, cell phone and email): $53,593
– Food (approximate): $18,000
– Entertainment: $25,000
– College expenses for kids: $10,130
– Health care: $3,215

According to a friend, up until 10 years ago, Hef was still having nightly 'pajama parties in the mansion with several girls at a time.

Social Security isnt designed to keep the rich people rich. It is designed to keep the old poor people fed. He is getting fair benefits as a citizen. Thats all.
