Youtube appears to be down again, page 1

Anyone else having issues with youtube playing right now?

The front page appears to pull up fine but then crashes to a text only page with audio when trying to play a video.

Apparently this happened back in October as well...

Maybe it's just my area then...I tried a couple different browsers & there's a spike in reported issues on downdectector

Same here. Everything is working normally on my end. Maybe restart your computer OP. Hopefully that will fix it.

Works fine for me but this site, Is It Down?, says it's having problems. I use this site a lot, especially for checking on ATS, and I've never seen that before. It's usually up or down.

That's what I was hoping...already reset my computer & modem/router though...no luck

Downdetector just posted an outage map...looks like it's just California, Texas & Mexico right now...weird combo though

Yeah that is weird. I'm also from California too and as mentioned before everything works fine. Maybe it's for some people and not others.

Ok - Found a fix posted on one of the sites.
Apparently if you search "Youtube" on Bing & enter the site that way it will start working correctly.

I did it & it appears to be working again now...weird

Were you looking for something Bowie? His videos are getting so much traffic it’s hard to get anything on him to load. I don’t know how these things work, but maybe it’s affecting other videos as well.

His Facebook page was impossible yesterday.
