Were we twins separated at birth?

That's almost exactly how I think about it...

Me, too!!!
So, I'm not really sure why you were being hostile toward me earlier.

???????

So my wife had the news on last night and it was all ..."head on crash" "Murder" "Kardashian" "Trump said this" "Bacon" and I could actually feel myself get more negative and I made her turn it. There was nothing on so after she surfed for a bit, I was reading some articles on my Ipad, she turned on a house hunter reality show and cops and catfish...and I could actually feel some brain cells commit suicide. We turned off the TV and talked.

I seriously do not watch the news unless I catch a headline like Brussels and need to find out for a few minutes or I want to see if Sanders won Idaho...then it's off, certainly I don't need any analysis or pundits. House hunters or any reality show is good for 2 minutes then you've seen it all. I've already seen cops arrest people. I really don't need to see it again. I don't need to know about any of the Candidates or Celebrities. Who cares? I can read about their positions and get quotes on what they've said. The rest is all noise. I watch movies, and listen to music, but why would I need to know what they eat and what kind of home they live in or what kind of arguements they get into? We don't.

Better of listening to motivational speaches, podcasts and videos, or a how to on something specific like closing sales or networking, then off to read. REading about Rockefeller right now. Titan, great biography.

I agree that much of what fills our airways on television is a waste of time. I particularly find the political pundits who hold themselves out as experts to be nothing more than self aggrandizing talking heads trying to increase their ratings and satisfy their sponsors. Much of what they say can be filtered out as unpleasant nose. I find that the amount of air time given to the buffoon, Donald Trump by Bill O'Reilly to be particularly obnoxious and annoying.

While I'm frankly not a Bernie Sanders guy, I share your opinion that watching a good movie is far more rewarding than watching Fox News and their leading talking head and resident demagogue, Bill O'Reilly, selling his books and endorsing the clown, Donald Trump. If the "spin" stops on his show, then I don't know what spin is!

Hey, Angry. Right on. I agree! Down with O'Riley! He is certainly no fair minded journalist. He is himself one of the worst spin guys, demagogues and ego maniacs out there. In truth, the spin STARTS there rather than ends there, and the only person Bill is looking out for is himself and bragging rights to the best ratings on Fox News!

Two Americans were killed along with all the other tragic victims of the Brussels terrorist bombing attack perpetrated by Isis. John Kerry said in response that we will not be deterred. We have heard that same empty rhetoric many times already from Obama.

It is way past the time for empty words and it is high time for decisive action to wipe out these barbarians before they strike again. And they surely will. Does Kerry plan to just keep talking until we see another 9/11 right here in America? Haven't our friends in Europe and in the M.E. already suffered enough?

Have you come up with anything beyond "I recommend a ground coalition force to root these terrorists out of their rat holes and defeat them....The air attacks must, of course, continue unabated as well."? How well did that work in Afghanistan and Iraq? Why do you ignore the bigger picture, and dodge the issue of surgically applied personal accountability for the financiers and arms suppliers? Your methods make rich people richer, kills more poor people, and makes stupid people feel better.

Well , one way to make America Strong Again is to Elect Strong Leadership . Here's a Man who Told it like it is ....

Extremism in the Defense of Liberty is not a Vice , and Moderation in the Pursuit of Justice is a Vice !

Nope. I was never a fan of Dick Cheney. Quite the opposite in fact. But once again this isn't about right wing politics or left wing politics or war mongering. Nor is it about whether one calls himself or herself a Democrat or a Republican. It is rather about the freedom and liberty and way of life that America has always fought to protect and preserve. I'm simply an independently thinking citizen who wants our country to be strong again. I hate war and the sacrifices of war, but I assure you that Isis has only one agenda and that is to impose their way of life on all the rest of us through terror, violence, and murder. Unfortunately this is simply a war that we have to fight and can't afford to lose. We owe a decent future to ourselves and to our children and grandchildren. Hopefully the sacrifices to come will not fall on their shoulders if we do what is necessary now.

This is the problem with most people. All they care about is their own country, and how strong it is.

It is this mentality that still keeps us on a brink of war.

How about we have that same concern for the whole planet? I guess governments would not want that

It's amazing how a small percentage of the population (governments) can have such power and control over the rest of the population.

Yes, we are and have been conditioned

I really don't think Isis much cares about whether a person is stupid or smart. I don't think they much care about financiers or a person getting wealthier or poorer either.

My plan to defeat Isis may not be the best one, but at least I suggested something more than our cowardly President Obama has done to date. I don't think Isis cares whether Obama refers to them as jokers either! Obama talks and vacations while the terrorists plot and then kill innocent people.

They mean to kill us and destroy our way of life. Get it, Johnny?

I'm all for liberty, Zanti, but I'm against extremism from wherever it may come, either from the left or from the right. And that includes Barry Goldwater. A man of integrity who believed in his conservatism, but was just plain sincerely wrong.

Ditto with Bernie Sanders, a sincere man who is also sincerely wrong about his socialist extremist leftist views.

In what way was Barry Goldwater Wrong in the Quote I just Posted ? You would Personally Not go to Extremes to Protect and Defend your Liberty that America has bestowed upon you from Birth ? Would you also half-heartedly go in Pursuit of Justice if Justice was needed to Protect the Innocent ? Think about what you just Posted , if I didn't know any better , I would think a Statement like that was Un-America to it's Core .

Cowardly Obama:

IS senior leader 'killed in Syria' The US has announced that it has killed a number of leading Islamic State (IS) militants in the past week, including the purported second-in-command. Defence Secretary Ashton Carter said the deaths of Abdul Rahman Mustafa al-Qaduli and other members of the group's "cabinet" would hamper its operations. He gave no details about how Qaduli, an Iraqi also known as Hajji Iman, died. However, NBC News earlier reported he was killed during a raid by US special forces in Syria on Thursday morning. Defence officials said the troops landed in helicopters and lay in wait as Qaduli drove past them in a car.

And they don't care about financiers? Think about that just a moment...

They care about their own sources of revenue of course .But the issue is simple. We have to destroy them because they wish to destroy our way of life and they are barbarians who will continue to kill innocent people.

His policies were a brand of extreme conservatism that were totally wrong for the 1960's when he ran for president. At that time we were still in a post World War Two environment and Goldwater's ideas were not conducive to supporting the kind of Civil Rights and social support programs that America needed for it's citizens and racial minorities during that decade.

Moreover, it is a good thing that Goldwater wasn't President during the Cuban Missile Crisis in October, 1962. If he was, you and I might not be here today!

OK, here's an example of brains vs brawn: There Is Only One Way to Defeat ISIS

Where's the inherent weakness? No upside for the Military Industrial Complex or Big Oil. So the real effective channels don't get used. And people get convinced that only by making rich people richer will the barbarian be vanquished.

And Joe Sixpack sucks it up ecvery time.
