Im not sure ive ever posted in this forum before but i just saw this and just had to share

I never knew koala's were so aggressive or could get so emotional.

Ive always wanted to hold one but after watching that im not so sure. Well not a wild one at least, they seem kind of bitey. lol

This kid and the koala should get together and bro down and talk about their combat issues

For what ever reason the tree fight reminded me of this.

I guess this was a case of no means no and the male not liking it?

The description of the video says the female does get the tree back tho.

Not to change the topic, but Because of the latest fad I've seen history revision, really strange psuedo social science stuff, lol why not a koala?

Might be a mama koala 'kicking' it's baby out to fend on it's own (looks like a smaller younger one). There comes a time when all parents need to do it.... Obviously the smaller kid koala thinks that idea is a bit s#$t and wants to be chaperoned endlessly, typical.

I was thinking the same, but it seems it's a couple males fighting during mating season. I like how the lady says come to a different tree, there's plenty of trees.

I cant help myself but I think this is funny as hell

The referee should have stopped the fight after the first bite though ...that is illegal!

Evander Holyfield said the same thing, left the fight with half an ear!

Yeah, could be males fighting. But going by the stressful whiny sound I felt he was more of a youngster. The males can make a heck of a noisy growly racket though, and koala's can run surprising quickly. So if it were males fighting I would expect that the loser would not be left free to sit and sulk in that territory, but would have been hassled further away from the tree.

There actually didn't seem like many other suitable tree's, koala's have a very limited set of tree's they can eat and with urban development and clearing, koala's are finding it tough to cope. So I think I will still lean more towards the parent saying 'if i don't keep this tree for myself I'm going to starve, the kid's old enough to find his own'.

But I'm no koaloligist, so I could just be overlaying my current human feelings towards my own teenagers.....

Lil search shows you're right, I thought maybe it was a mating call the wee one was doing, but that's not a Koala mating call. Poor lil guy was crying! That is so sad

It a male making unwanted advances on a female during the mating season.

The heartbreaking moment a bullied koala cries and screams on the ground after rejecting the advances of an amorous suitor – who attacks and kicks her out of her gum tree home

Footage shows a territorial dispute on a suburban street in Adelaide Hills
The larger male koala was making an unwanted advance on the female
The male wrestles the female off the gum tree as she shrieks in protest
The behavior is routine during mating season disputes this time of year

The koala bear takes what it wants..., wait a minute

In all seriousness, watching animals go through things like this absolutely proves to me these creatures are emotional and perceive reality like we do. When I was younger people used to tell me animals dont have feelings, I think alot of them truly do. I'd be pissed to if some chick showed up to my place.....,wait a minute

Well there you go! I was putting my own personal feelings towards my teens onto the koala's persona's.
I like my version better, sex ruins every good story, silly horny bears...

As awesome as koalas are , goddamn are they moody little fellas!

There main diet being gum leafs, they always seem to be overly tired and grumpy... Hope it worked out for the little fella that got kicked off the tree though.

Life sucks... whatta ya gonna do? Poor little dude, lol.
