Well instead of FORCING corporations to bring jobs home, give incentives to do it. That's what the original progressive tax plans we had in the 50's and 60's were all about. High taxes for corporations with the incentive to reinvest into labor for tax breaks. But that's Socialism and we are always told that Socialism doesn't work and we NEED the rich to have deregulations at the top of the income brackets.

That's similar to what I would like so see, except instead of incentives for staying, it would penalties for leaving.
When it comes to taxes, I would like to see a flat tax, with simple, clear cut penalties/incentives
(as if it would be possible for anything to be simple in this country)
You put in based on what you make, regardless of who or what you are. Break the rules, get penalized. Meet requirements, get incentives.

Penalties create animosity. Animosity leads to cutting corners. As they say, "you'll attract more bees with honey rather than vinegar".
