A drive-by shooting

As it is not yet a drive-by shooting when the shooter comes.
And when the shooter is leaving it is not a shooting anymore just the end result.
But when the drive-by shooting occurs it is always passing through

There could be lots of 'debate' on the responses, but, like a koan, the point is what the 'riddle' brings out in you, what it means to you.
Some of these answers were obviously just quickly tossed with no real thought or intuition, some a bit 'deeper'...

Perhaps it can be a sort of 'mandala' for some, who can really contemplate the depths of the question.
For some, it's nothing more than an fortune cookie!
Thus, ALL is Known! *__-

Thank y'all for for your participation and thought...

There are many answers that, although swiftly posted, do not answer the riddle.
Rather than simple one word answers, how about a full sentence or two?
'Air' (or anything else) might be your answer, but please, in the interest of Knowledge, tell me why and HOW 'air' never comes or goes (it comes and goes as wind, through my lips, into my lungs, and then 'goes'), but is always passing through?!
Most answers seem to have been blurted without much, if any, 'thought/contemplation'!

nothing.

To inhale inspires and brings the prana down from the spiritual level.

To expire is for the prana of the breath to return to the crown maha chakra.

All that comes and goes is your awareness of the breath.

It is the fundamental dynamic of awareness at the physically incarnated level.

To transcend the need to reincarnate and to become un attached you have to practice fundamental awareness without mental reaction formation.

Then as pure ecstatic consciousness there is no need for physical incarnation since you are at one with all that is.

nothing.

Then it is coming (from somewhere).

To expire is for the prana of the breath to return to the crown maha chakra.

Then the air is going (somewhere).

All that comes and goes is your awareness of the breath.

And the air.

It is the fundamental dynamic of awareness at the physically incarnated level.

Then as pure ecstatic consciousness there is no need for physical incarnation since you are at one with all that is.

A beautiful and thoughtful response!
Thank you! *__-
