You may remember the ridiculous doomsday prophecies and outrageous fear-mongering that defined the Republican campaign against President Obama’s nuclear peace deal with Iran. The motivation behind their unwise and ultimately ineffective resistance to the President’s diplomatic agenda has finally come to light. A new report from the Wall Street Journal reveals that NSA wiretaps found that the the Israeli Prime Minister and other officials of the Israeli governments attempted to, and most likely succeeded, to bribe American legislators in exchange for their support against the deal.

“A U.S. intelligence official familiar with the intercepts said Israel’s pitch to undecided lawmakers often included such questions as: “How can we get your vote? What’s it going to take? Mr. Netanyahu and some of his allies voiced confidence they could win enough votes.” The answers to Israeli proposals have yet to be fully revealed, but it is clear that favors were offered – bribes were proposed – and from the subsequent behavior of Republican lawmakers, we can only infer that our legislators accepted those bribes, from a foreign government in exchange for opposing the diplomatic efforts of the Obama Administration. At the very least, the very discussion itself indicates that they conspired with a foreign government to undermine the foreign policy agenda of their elected Commander-in-Chief, which certainly amounts to treason.

*SNIP* This was nothing but a preemptive strike and muddying the waters about the real bribes and treasonous acts by Republican senators and Congressmen, for now that story is out in the ether doesn't matter if it was true or not for the gullible will eat it up, and some will now make fake comparison that both are guilty or the report of both must equally be false hoping that the general public will throw it's collective hands in the air and walk away, hence no political price will be paid for treason, disgusting and genius at the same time..well played Reps.

Congressional Democrats PAID BY IRANIAN LOBBY to support Obama’s Nuke Deal

"How can we get your vote?"

That's the most dambing remark the article can come up with?

Better lock up ever congressional whip - I'm sure they say that a hundred times a day.

So...I wonder if Israel spent money that the USA gave them in the first place...?

Wouldn't that just be rich?

I thought they were using that money to buy black-market oil from ISIS.

But then, I guess at $14 to $16 per barrel they probably had plenty enough left over to bribe our congressmen with.

This could be the scandal of the decade.

If they can prove it.

Against the criminal state Israel; the country, in the grip of Zionist control, will probably give the bribed politicians a metal of honor for sucking up to Israel and betraying the country.

The American press is Zionist controlled as well as the congress so this will turn into nothing

(From the quote, not from the OP himself.) An objective example of investigative journalism or a completely biased report? Is that how we do journalism these days? Start with a biased conclusion then write to so-called "supporting evidence"? The words "ridiculous" and "outrageous" have no place in an objective news article, especially when it is followed up with "proof" of the most tenuous kind.

It's no secret that the Israeli's are totally against Obama's approach--as well they should be because Obama, like Chamberlain before him, is giving away the store. To them this is a crisis of existential proportions. But just what "bribes" are we talking about here? Money? Women? Land on the West Bank?

Put up or shut up. The "fear mongering" is in this article itself. Shame on the "reporter" who wrote this and the WSJ.

Seems the only true crime committed at this point is the leaking of the classified info on the wire tap itself . Unless the phones calls from spying on foreign governments are on Utube. Where's politlfact on this one because when dems took money from Iranian American group to vote in favor of deal , the fact they where called bribes earned a pants on fire. So as long as Reps took money from Israel American group wouldn't the same standard apply.

It sure seems that way, but apparently not to the extent you claim. Who needs to bribe someone they control, and not even end up getting the outcome they want? How does a "controlled" media release information about you bribing their nation's congressman?

Trying to see if I understand this interesting thought-

A government that can't afford to run,(U.S.)
asks to float a loan from another government (China)so it can run...

The government giving the loan (China)says it needs collateral, so we secure it with their housing market and national parks and monuments they (China)can come and take on the event of a default all know is eventually coming...because banker country (China) is now lobbying their currency as the world standard, and most are willing to now entertain the idea.

Meanwhile, the piss broke government that now pays the loan,(U.S.) gives A LOT of that money to another government that CAN afford to run(Israel) so it can spend all that money on MORE defense, antagonizing everyone around them in their area of the world, and runnin commercials in america about feeding the hungry people -sob, sob, cry, cry -in their country because their big bad government doesn't want them to eat.

Now the able bodied government(Israel) realizes they don't want to spend all that money on defense and that original broke government(U.S.) has politicians for purchase and use part of their free no collateral money (Israel)they are given from the original broke government(U.S.) that can't afford to run, to buy broke government politicians so they can do favors around the world for them keeping piss broke government piss broke, and rich self serving politicians richer.

Meanwhile interest accrues at an alarming rate in money borrowed from loaning government(China) so broke government forces their people to buy cheaply made, expensive worthless environmentally unfriendly lightbulbs in order to pay the interest on original loan.
Just making sure I understand this properly... lol

Considering Occupy Democrats is mostly B.S. I bet they might be a Republican funded front.

Real Democrats wouldn't be so bold to discredit themselves would they?

even left leaning politi"fact" thinks they're nuts

The other issue is this: Why would the Israeli's NEED to "bribe" any Republican? The Republicans, by and large, are already on the side of Israel and opposed to Obama's policies. They would vote against him almost as a matter of course. And even the questions cited are lame. "What can we do to get your vote?" That's not an unusual ploy. It;s used by every car salesman on the planet. "Mr. Smith, what can I do for you to earn your business [and buy this car from me]?" This kind of thing is not actionable and no, you can't "infer" bribes were offered.

This is just an Occupy Democrats wet dream they would really like to be true.

Let me know when you support the prosecution of Obama's 16 counts of felony treason and then you can count me in prosecuting second comers.

opposing the diplomatic efforts of the Obama Administration is always the smartest move since everything he says means the opposite, and is just more lies.

Obama's so called Iran peace deal means surrendering and snivelling up to Iran hoping he can be their little buddy, but what did they do after? They held him in even more contempt and openly called for the destruction of America with Jihad.

Why were wiretaps needed Israel openly bribes our politicians. Have people forgotten how Israel is always handing out free vacations to Israel to get people to vote how they want? It's time to start enforcing the Logan act on these people no matter what party they are from.

I'd just bet this little scandal regarding republican congressmen on the Israeli take is probably at least 1000 times more truthful than that B.S. thread you authored yesterday regarding democrats and Iran.

There is a big difference between an American special interest lobbying group designed for the explicit purpose of influencing govt. decisions and the leader of a foreign nation offering bribes to directly undermine a U.S. national foreign policy initiative.

While I don't agree with either approach, unfortunately one is legal. Guess which one?

You were all up in arms yesterday when you were busy accusing democrats of being bribed by "Iran" over the same issue only to have other posters repeatedly point out that your assertions were totally false because the group you were referring to were actually Americans of Iranian descent and not affiliated with the Iranian govt. in any way.

Did it sink in before the mods shut down your thread? Guess not.

If you are going by the ASSumption that Obama's Deal with Iran is a Quote , " Peace Deal " , they you are seriously Deluded . He basically gave Iran the go ahead to develop Offensive Nuclear Weapons which sooner or later will be used to Attack Israel or any other Country that stands in it's way of Total Domination in the Middle East . Anything the PM of Israel has to say about that Reality is a moot point right now.
