My understanding is this, man was not born on earth to be a slave for the rich.

We are not cavemen, however cavemen lived off the land and were free. They lived in small communities together, they hunted for their food and fished and they shared their goods with each other.

Then one day man invented money and it went down hill from there. Greed, & power, corruption, became more important than mankind, more is never enough.

We are being tax to death, as if our governments believe they are Kings. It is now becoming the governments are not being held accountable for their crimes and they abuse their power. Passing illegals laws to extort money so they can stay in power.

If Americans would all say no! We will not pay anymore monies to the powers that be, it will stop. It is that simple.

The very idea of needing a permit to camp on your own land is too much, as far as I am concerned. City or not, if it's your property, what you live in on said property should e your decision. Hygienic concerns, I can see, for sewage and the like, and property maintenance to keep a place clean, but beyond that, they need to butt out. All of the permits and whatnot are simply money-generating tools, anyway, and control features.

Laws like this, if implemented here would absolutely devastate me and my family's lifestyle. What are the US govt thinking? Its a violation of basic human rights.

They are more concerned about how a place that almost nobody ever gets to see looks, than the lively hood of the people that actually care , live and look after that land.

The US govt are the worse ever. I thought the last republican govt were bad, but holy crap, this is extreme. They tell us global warming is a problem but stop us living with nature....they are liars, and corrupt to the core.

Your post was well written but I would disagree with one sentence:

These residents are completely out of line thinking that they can do what they want on their own property.

As long as there are property taxes and the ability of the government to take your property because of back taxes or wanting your property for some entity that gives campaign contributions then one of the biggest lies most buy into is, you actually own that piece of land you paid for. Otherwise a great response IMO.

Everything is always done legally which on the surface looks good because they can always quote a law they just so happen to be enforcing and was passed with the highest intentions and feel good reasons; but in reality those feel good laws only feel good (to way to many) when they are happening to someone else.

Think about not being able to collect the rain that falls from a local rain shower on your leased or rented property (since you don't really own it).

Think about not being able to dig, build, or plant on your own property without some bureaucratic permission and money out of your pocket for a bureaucratic license.

Think, how have we arrived at this place in American history...... and Europe is either ahead or not far behind on many of these things. Asia is starting the same thing in small ways ... Now if your property is worth a certain amount when you die your family is to pay the taxes above the random set amount the local yokels say your property is worth. On the surface it looks good because it can break up large land holdings which have been in families for generations. The amount starts out high to get it through a governing body but after a couple of decades it is right down there where it starts to affect everyone with anything when they die.

The bigger any government is the more money they need just to pay their employees.. I read for every $4 dollars the government collects, say for some welfare program there is actually only one dollar that goes to the recipients... the other three are ate up by overhead expenses.. ? True or not ? Sounds about right for anything some governments touch IMO.

The problem is people are running out of places (and countries) to go to to get away from domestic bureaucratic entanglements that in nature would be designated a form of parasites or leaches. Are taxes needed yes; but in Texas we used to have a saying that pigs get fed and hogs get slaughtered. Until people actually say enough is enough then instead of sheep I guess in Texas we could consider ourselves piglets, looking always looking, for the sows nipple..

By the way happy new year everyone ! Ours was last night and a fun time was had by everyone as far as I could tell... in the village there were fire works at mid-night; food to eat all evening, and libations of all kinds .. The Golf course was almost empty early this morning hahhaha

If they don't want people living in trailers and throwing garbage all over, then the local or state government needs to build affordable housing complexes. We pay taxes as a community then they need to spend that money as a community.

However, it never happens that way does it? Why? Look up the definition of govern and you will have a much more clear picture of why. Having this public hearing listening to people's comments is nothing but a bunch of BS. They already have a plan and could give rats ass of what anyone in that room has to say.

I agree.

Your right they already have their plan and they will push it though while given the middle finger to those who do not like their agendas.

Most of these people holding the local government positions, should be fired for their unethical stance and never be allowed to work in the government again period.

This is the same type of maneuver we saw in Spain last year. Maybe not as in-your-face but still...

Remember the Spanish were all buying some $500-$2500 solar panel you can put on a roof, the balcony, the ground, or on a stand and thousands were in no need of electricity ever again but from their own source. So eventually just out of the blue you hear Theresa new law and even the King and Queen of Spain were saying how great it would be for the country. It is called the Sunshine Tax and basically, if you buy one of those solar panels you have to pay a monthly Sunshine Tax for the usage of the sun's rays since of course, it would be stealing for one person to be sucking all them rays of sunshine into a panel when other people are trying to tan or avoid some jack-mule takimg so much he dims the daytime. Anyway the tax was just about what electric costs go figure. Its supposedly not to keep charging ex-city electric households and the amount of the tax is just coincidence. I'd like to know how they came up with the amount for the value of the sun's light.

Some of those Emeters may have had a similar story I think that many places are using now. How the running meter itself must be paid for so without getting rid of all your property entirely, as long as you still have a lot or a house in your name you have a balance on your electric bill every month. Seems more like a way of keeping track of people who might otherwise disappear completely than a logical way to have the meters work.

So here goes the US now ani making darn sure you're at home, getting info from mass media TV, and checking in so much on social media that, "why worry about that RDFI chip we were
gonna put in everyone. Theyvr all chipped themselves, more or less."

What is the reason that they deny people camping on their own property
It's a bit strange

Then someone could rent out space on their backyard for people to camp, and then the city could find themselves with dozens of people living in one housing lot.

In London, there's now a problem with people converting their backyard sheds and garages into second dwellings and not declaring these as residences for council tax.

That brings to mind, the Petition of the Candle-Makers - it's a true petition that went up in front of the French parliament, demanding that windows should be made illegal:

You think that's bad!
Australia is known as the nanny state. Because apparently we Australians can't look after ourselves??? We are unable to make intelligent decisions for ourselves. Well that is according to our Big Brother. We have rules on top of rules. I was surprised to see at my local swimming pool, diving is not even permitted??? What the hell? The local councils have even banned diving. Absolutely ridiculous. They won't be happy until they have total control of our lives. (and our subservient sheep like minds)

Well, if Australia is anything like the UK, then your "Big Brother" is right, at least for large swathes of the population. Junkies, smokers, heavy drinkers, people who don't wear seatbelts, and people who let their dogs crap on pavements (to give you just a very short list) are people who are not making intelligent decisions. Their actions inevitably impact negatively on others in society. We have laws and other devices in place to modify their behaviour. These work for some people but not for others.

I suspect that this is to protect themselves rather than the users of the swimming pool. One less injury is one less compensation claim they have to deal with. In many of these cases, of course, they settle out-of-court simply because it is cheaper to do this than to go through the expense of defending it in court.

That is exactly what they should do at the next county elections. Elect people that represent the people of the county so they can live of the grid if they want to. It never ceases to amaze me that the same political liars that talk about the enviroment are the same groups that do not want people to live sustainably. Their kind of enviromentalism is only a way to scam more money out of people while limiting OUR freedoms further and it is in all western countries.

It's a revenue issue. Next!

If people are growing their own crops, they are not buying food and if they are not buying food, revenue from business is down therefore taxes go down and therefore there is less truffles and caviar for the pigs to consume. I've said it time and time again-Tax the income and stop punishing the self sustainable-they have jobs too but they don't get bailed out because their crops failed however when a bank fails Those wall street gamblers get a blank check.

You can't eat money.
