I moved into an apartment in Texas and lived there for about a two weeks.
I was shaving one morning and saw a little boy run behind me in the mirror. As I don't have any children I stopped what I was doing and searched the house but couldn't find anything. Same thing happened about a week latter.
About a month into the apartment I was awoken by someone calling my name. I woke up and saw a little boy standing at the foot of my bed. I did what any man would do. I curled up in a little ball and pulled the covers over my head.
A few nights latter I was again awoken by someone calling me and this time the little boy was standing about a foot from my head. I again curled up into a ball and pulled the covers over my head.
I would see the little kid from time to time around the house usually in the master bedroom.
One night as I was turning off all the lights in the house and preparing for bed I started down the hall towards my bedroom and the boy was standing there in the doorway just holding the doorknob. I turned around and turned the lights back on and slept in the living room.
I had friends over for dinner one night (I never told anyone what I had seen) and a friend asked me "who's that kid in your room?". I said "I'm glad you see him too, at least I'm not crazy" at which point everyone left.
I did tell one close friend only that "I keep seeing a little boy in my house". A few days letter his friend called me and described the kid, including his hairstyle and clothes (things I had not mentioned). He told me it was a "Twist" and I should never talk to it.
I looked into my walk in closet one day and saw the little boy squatted in the center of the floor. He had his hands covering his mouth and it looked his was covering a laugh or eating something.
I moved out a few days latter and never saw the thing again. Your post just reminded me of the apartment and my experiences there.

My daughter who is five now said last year during a conversation with my wife, and this is not verbatim, that she used to be her mummy and went into detail about stuff. Now my wife's mum is still knocking about but her grand parents are all dead.
My eldest, now 7 when he was three described how it was dark and warm inside his mummy's tummy but then it got light and cold.

No, I lived their for about eight months all told. Things got progressively worse. I sought professional help after about 5 moths (I thought it was a mental issue).
It wasn't in my mind My psychiatrist actually told me "maybe there is something in your house" LoL
I eventually redeployed to Iraq and that is why I left the apartment.
Even said goodbye to the thing on the way out

Just last week my six year old son was having trouble sleeping during the night. I came in around midnight and asked him what was wrong, if he was sick maybe or had to use the bathroom. He said "I just want the scary voices to stop." Kind of freaked me out. I stayed with him until he fell asleep and when I asked him about it in the morning he didn't remember being away or talking to me.

I had a foster child for 7 years. . . when she was about 3 years old, she strongly resisted being safely strapped into the car seat one day; I was late & desperate, so I used the threat, "If we crash you will die! You MUST use the seat belt!" She responded calmly, "But last time I drownded!" (sic)
I was quite shocked & silent. . . . clearly, she thought she was safe this time because she was not near water . . . ?

Interesting thread. I have to admit, that i am bipolar on the subject. Some days i am the biggest sceptic on other days: off course it exists.
I remember in my preteen years i had a thing for flashlights, it was the best thing ever invented :-)
Some day my mom just said: but tell me before you go signaling again!
I was like: what???
She told me, that when i was about 3-4 years old i used to say 'i want to go home'. often when we have been at home. since we changed home a lot, she asked which home i meant.
I was always pointing up to the stars. One day she realised in shock, that i am not in my bedroom, she found me in the garden, middle of the night, signaling with her flashlight towards the stars.
I had no recollection of the whole story, but this obsession with flashlights, and boy, that movie E.T. struck a cord. i felt like it was a movie about me. ( seen it way way after my signaling story).

Another incident was pushing a toy car under a sofa only to find it had disappeared.
