ok...i got that. I am untrained by anyone outside of the ragtag group we have here....and we just call it a "transparent" or a "trim" or a "slice".....but same thing. And I think "Render" sounds better.

Do you trim out your own? Part of the deal here is collaboration. What you know how to do will likely be shared to others, and vice versa.

Bt long story short: 99.9% of what is done here is like that. I don't do a lot of drawing from scratch. ALthough my current sig and avatar are kinda like that (the avatar was a black line drawing that I filled in by using the pen tool to draw the "blobs" that fill it in). Most of what we do is taking a render and making it fit with other renders.

Can one of you guys make me an avi?

@Forkedtongue: Yes, but we need something to work with. Something like a theme, character, mood, color scheme, etc. If you just ask for an avatar, you may end up with something you don't like.
And do you mean an avatar, or background image style Cody and I have?

Those terms are fine as well. Render is simply the one I was personally taught to use and am familiar with.

Not usually, but I am capable of doing so if necessary. Not sure how well I'd do with 3D models, I tend to work with 2D images such as my own avatar, or your gorilla. (Though my own avatar isn't a render, it was a far larger image that I shrunk and did a bit of color manipulation with. The eyes are the same color as her hair in the original.)

I tend to only use one, then fill in the space around it, but I guess I could also do splicework.
Nicely done with your own one, by the way. It looks like it was made that way.

Lol I did, and she laughed.

Because I told her before whenever she gets mad she gets a reptilian look to her eyes.

Like she doesn't see another person, more of like a meal or an obstacle.

Essentially, I am good for making more abstract things where I am given a single character/theme/color scheme and can go wild, but anything specific like what Signals is asking for I'm gonna be pretty useless at helping with.

Oh, right, does anyone know what the exact measurements of the mini-background size can be at maximum are? Having little pieces sliced off my work is a bit irritating. >_>

I use 200 x 440 it works for me

Not too bad bro, -2 c this morning ummmmmmmmmmmmmmm 28ish f.

But we have no heating at work, unfortunately we have very little work to stay warm as well We've cleared the decks for a massive contract But still waiting on a couple of samples being approved.

But the good side is we'll soon be snowed under, quite literally from all directions and meanings LOL
