A ship carrying more than 11,000kg of low-enriched uranium materials has left Iran for Russia in an Iranian step towards honouring a July 14 nuclear deal with major powers, the US says.

Under the landmark nuclear accord, certain US, European Union and UN sanctions are to be removed in exchange for Iran accepting long-term curbs on a nuclear program that the West has suspected was aimed at creating a nuclear bomb.

A key provision of the agreement, negotiated by Iran with the US, Britain, China, France, Russia and Germany, is Tehran's commitment to reduce its stockpile of low-enriched uranium to below 300kg. If much further refined, low-enriched uranium can yield fissile material for nuclear weapons.

Iran making good on the Deal Netanyhu continues to believe is bad. Isn't this much better than war? We have enough problems in the Middle East without a war with a supposed nuclear Iran. Now, what's Russia gonna do with all that uranium?

Avoiding the probable weapons use, Russia is moving forward with plans for a much expanded role of nuclear energy, so they will need fuel. In honesty, it is also what they would like us to think as well.

They wouldn't be that stupid because Iran is under a 24/7 microscope by everyone.

Sounds like you're probably right on both fronts.

The ship is on a "Mission of Humanity"; carrying cargo that could kill thousands, perhaps millions.

in return, Russia is finally delivering the S-300 SAMs to Iran, and plan to build 2 more nuclear reactors inside Iran.
Have anybody notice that Iran is the most stable (and the safest) nation in the Middle East?

Wouldn't Israel be the most stable? Obviously Israel's threats are literally at their door but still though. I'm trying to think, has Iran been attacked by radical Islamic groups?

Israel may appear to be stable, but it has over a million angry and frustrated Palestinians living in the West Bank, with another million plus hostile Pals in Gaza. And then it's surrounded by hostile Arabs on 3 sides(north, east and south) with its back to the Mediterranean Sea. And all those "victories" in wars against the Arabs(1967, 1973, 1982, 2006, ...etc) are not victories but were holding actions. Israel fought not to win, but to keep itself from being annihilated. If those "victories" were so, then there should be Israeli flags flying over Beirut, Damascus, Amman and Cairo. Israel is sitting on a 2-legged stool.

IMO, this shows Iran was being honest the whole time about having little interest in pursuing to weaponize their nuclear program. But hey you know, 20+ years of Benjamin Netenyahu telling us they will have the bomb in 3-5 just has to be accepted as fact. Still nothing I suppose.

Iran has Arabs living within its borders too, about the same number as within Israel at 1.6 million. They create terror within Iran and abroad too like the Iranian embassy siege in London killing British police. Iran also is surrounded by Arab countries which former sttacks on it and it's Shia religion killing hundreds each week around the Middle East. Iran is in many ways in a much worse position, nobody on the region can take on Israel without either losing with certainty to the Israeli Air Force or indeed at best being nuked. Iran could be taken out by the Arabs especially if the USA and the Brits went in too

Really?? Iran is not constantly bombing within its own borders, as in Israel defined by the IDF attacks in Gaza and the West Bank, nor is it suffering from a spontaneous outbreak of knife attacks on its citizens by its disenfranchised second class citizens.

The US and Brits would not commit ground forces to an Iran incursion, that is exactly why they have the Saudis. If you have not noticed recently, the Saudis are losing ground against Yemen, and they are bombing literally everything in that country that stands. So tell me how our Arab allies would pull this off?? I really want to hear it.
