The hacking group Anonymous has claimed responsibility for a massive cyberattack on Turkish internet servers over the past week, saying it will continue its assault if Turkey "doesn't stop supporting" Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (Isil).

Turkish servers suffered one of the most intense cyberattacks ever seen in the country over the last week, according to an internet management body.

Internet experts said it was not clear who was behind the attacks that ran from December 14 to 21. But Nic.tr, a non-government body that administers addresses for websites using the ".tr" domain, including ministries, the military, banks and many commercial sites, said they originated from "organised sources" outside Turkey.

The attacks took 400,000 websites offline and were only halted when Turkey stopped foreign internet traffic to the ".tr" domain.

Looks like Anon is making good on their cyber threats. Turkey had to halt international data traffic to curb the attacks, good lord!

If we are to believe this then Anonymous is attacking a member of NATO?

Hmmm…

Anon attacks anyone and everyone regardless of their military status and allies.

More like Because of their military allies, i.e., NATO.

The stuff Turkey is doing in Syria is at NATOs behest. They are a Proxy Puppet of NATO.

Unless you can tell me they are telling NATO what to do…

Anonymous is wrong in this case.

This is no different than BLM blocking airports/businesses -- people who have no involvement are punished. I'll bet "Anonymous" in this particular claim is actually just MOSSAD/cIA or some other gov. agency letting us know they are attacking turkey

Its not anaonomous its just Russian hackers. Turkish hackers just recently attacked the Russian central bank shutting down their servers as well. Were just watching a cyber war between turkey and russia.

The very term "Anonymous", by its nature, means that anyone and everyone with an agenda, and who wishes to remain unknown, can use that title to accomplish their deeds. One day it's some high school kids who want to hack NASA. Next day it's Mossad targeting US politicians who stepped out of line. Next day it's Russia showing some NATO members the size of its member...

Looks like something the Russians would do.
