Dear friends, I was born in the Soviet Union. One of the joys of my childhood were the Soviet animated films. I'm in my 30s now, but I do not cease
to marvel at the beauty and the kindness of Soviet cartoons. These are the real masterpieces. They strongly differed from those western animated
television series which I saw later (DuckTales, Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers, Darkwing Duck, etc.).
The western series were standardized and inanimate while the Soviet films were filled with true human kindness and love. It’s like the Soviet
artists, animators and actors (and the whole team) really put their hearts and souls into it, therefore it gives a unique experience for both children
If you were less fortunate and you had no opportunity to watch it – you should get acquainted with these masterpieces at least now.
P.S. I’m not saying that the western series are worse than the Soviet films, they are just different. Most likely because the western studios were
primarily commercial enterprises and aimed for commercial success, and the Soviet ones were sponsored by the state. Not to mention that Disney’s
films which I watched were television series, not the single separate films – so actually these are the different categories.
