It just seems that there is more and more -

ROCKWOOD — The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is investigating an officer-involved shooting that occurred about 10:30 a.m. Thursday following a vehicle pursuit, Rockwood Police Chief Danny Wright said.

Wright said the shooting occurred "way back in the woods" off Dry Hill Road, and the suspect was "conscious and alert."

District Attorney General Russell Johnson described the area as remote and off a "winding, twisting road" that goes from Rockwood up the Cumberland Plateau.

Johnson said the shooting occurred after the officer was involved in a pursuit, that started in Rockwood, of a man driving a stolen car.

Hopefully the criminal thug dies. I feel for the officer and the flak he may receive. If someone stole my car, especially on xmas eve, I would hope that it didn't end well for them.
