I have heard plenty of times that conservatives are angry at the establishment, and want to send a message this upcoming election. But have you ever stopped to think about what exactly they are angry about? What has them so pissed off?

It's not big government, the right loves big government as long as it enforces their agenda.
They are definitely not angry at corrupt politicians, Donald Trump and Ted Cruz are leading the polls, two very good wordsmiths that know how to please a crowd with words and promises, which is funny because one of the major conservative talking points going around right now is how Democrats fell for Obama's promises twice.

So what exactly are they angry about?

They're angry for all the wrong reasons actually,

They are angry because wages are too high,
Because women are able to get abortions
Because we are letting in too many refugees
Because too many people might get access to healthcare if Bernie Sanders wins...
They're also angry because blacks are going around protesting police brutality...how dare they?
They're angry because the government has put in place too many regulations on companies....those children need their daily dose of lead in their drinking water after all.
They're pissed off because we are paying too much attention to the environment..
They're especially angry because we are trying to curb the effects of climate change.

It's time we stop romanticising the rights anger at the establishment, they are pissed off at all the wrong reasons.

Lol
Maybe you could generalize a bunch more. Let it go, you could just as easily be pigeon holed as a liberal wanting x,y and z.

Maybe don't get so caught up in dialectics (look it up)

No big deal.

Once Obama is out of office, all will be right with the world.

The birds will chirp their beautiful music once again, rainbows will sparkle on the horizon, and pennies will fall from heaven.

There's so much here ... I won't even get started. Suffice it to say, that this is a matter of "I prefer to think this is why the other guys are mad, therefore it must be so."

1- wages are dropping, have been since 2007
Source- money.cnn.com...

2- republicans are split a million different ways on this issue

3- nobody is mad a letting in refugees. People are concerned that the vetting process in too lenient.

4- You made this one up

5- whites are murdered by cops more often. How dare people call out the double standard of the BLM movement i.e.: 50 shot in a weekend in Chiraq= nothing. A guy robs a gas station and gets shot=riots.

6- you made this one up as well

7- what are you doing to personally help save the environment?

8- like carbon credits? Because that curbs climate change right?

The problem is all of your beefs with a the right are emotional ones without a shred of fact, similar to the talking points on MSNBC

NO. Source

That may be true, but whites make up 63 percent of the population of this country. Blacks are just 12 percent. When Mr. Moskos adjusted his data to account for that, he found that black men were 3.5 times more likely to be killed by cops than white men. That’s inconvenient.

I'd give you guys the benefit of the doubt.......

But

Look at who is leading the Republican polls right now.

A fascist and a religious zealot followed by yet another religious zealot.

I'm def. not conservative, but those are all really superficial and shallow "reasons"...

There's a lot of butt-hurt over feeling like victims because "their way" is slowly eroding from beneath them. Conservatives are adverse to change, as change brings uncertainty. Conservative minds are tuned to survival and threat detection, and any uncertainty is viewed as a threat to their survival. This is why you see conservatives getting so nutty and saying really out there things that make your jaw drop. When people think they're very way of life and their actual survival is at stake -- logic and reason go out the window...there is no time for logic and reason in a life/death situation (which is universally actually true).

The problem is, that kind of thinking served mankind well thousands of years ago. We no longer have to worry about a neighboring cave man tribe raping our women and stealing the giraffe we hunted.

We are slowly moving (dare I saw evolving?) to a more liberal-minded society. Much of the progress that humanity has come to enjoy came from the minds of people who were thought of as "liberal minded" for their time. People willing to take risks and not fear change.

So it's not really a "they hate high taxes!" ... It goes much, much deeper than that. Keeping things the same or reverting to earlier versions of society is "safe".

So when social movements force us to change how we view other groups of people (the "other" who is usually seen through warry eyes as a threat) -- that really scares the bejezus out of them. Breaking paradigms is something that terrifies conservatives.

Black and white, absolute-type thinking also goes along with this entire mindset. It's easier to classify threats if you see things as "good vs. bad" or "right vs. wrong" -- it makes the physical world easier to classify into "threat vs. non-threat". This is why conservatives have such a hard time compromising on things.

But, thankfully as our society continues forward we're shedding those outdated survival and evolutionary outdated modes of thinking.

Here I'll post the unedited quote that you posted since you failed to do so. Here's the link that has then entire article.

"he said black men are 3.5 times more likely to be killed by police than white men. But also adjusted to take into account the racial breakdown in violent crime, the data actually show that police are less likely to kill black suspects than white ones."

Yes, yes, yes ... we've heard that before.

Trouble is that your ideas are not new ones. They are actually old ones that have been tried before.

I am waiting for a convincing argument for why will not fail this time. And simple saying but computers! different people! etc. is not convincing.

You are correct that conservatives do like the way things are. It isn't that are absolutely married to it or think it's perfect, you understand. It is simply that we realize that tradition is time tested, often by generations. So you come along with your "new" ideas that often aren't new at all and scream at us that we must change all the while making arguments that we've heard before ... and it isn't convincing. It wasn't convincing then. Your ideas are not the new things you think they are and they failed before. So unless you can present a convincing argument, we simply see no compelling reason to think anything has changed between a failed idea then and an idea that will still fail now.

And no, humans have not evolved. It doesn't work like that.

I clicked the thread thinking there would be something either clever to make me laugh or well thought out to make me think.

Instead you puked up a bunch of tired tropes to make a political trolling thread. Mission accomplished I guess.

Is that what they want? I thought it was that they didn't want individual responsibility to be coddled by government beurocracy. I find people who want more beurocracy want it that way so they can continue thinking they are making a positive contribution to society while actually not doing anything.

Sorry OP

You admitted your candidate was Hillary and have vigorously defended her

Hard to give any credibility to your post

Being that is true, it makes sense that you believe what you wrote in your OP

NICE slander and bigotry though

Things like the education bill that just passed. The conservatives were mad because it did not do enough to get government out of education. Now, think about that for a minute. More laws to get less government, is illogical.

We are all plaged by the illogical animalistic conservative mentality.

Some try to better humanity but others just want to hold it back because they are content, they are happy with the way things are because they don't feel at the bottom and they want to keep their spot.

Conservatives don't want for people to get life easier, they want others to suffer just as much as they did. They don't want for everyone to get what they have and are glad to not be among the have-nots.

Bitterness, resentment, fear...

Humanity needed conservatives values for survival but we are past that...eventually, we might evolve into something more than animals but until we do, some will have this conservative mindset.
