I always found this one interesting since it was covered by so many other bands and for so long. This version of I Fought the Law by Sonny Curtis and the Crickets was the first cover. The arrangement and vocals are very cool:

I'm a little surprised no one has posted this...unless most people didn't know it was a cover of Budgie from the 70's...

Crosby Stills Nash & Young's version of Joni Mitchell's "Woodstock" really brought this song to it's popularity on the airwaves:

Albeit, I do enjoy Joni's original version as well:

A few of my favorite's

A Zappa(Daddy Frank that is) Cover of Johnny Cash's "Ring of Fire"

Then there is:

Another group that does a lot of covers with Michael Jackson's "They don't Care about Us" Awesome symbology in the video.

And Tito Puente's famous cover of Dave Brubeck's "Take Five" in syncopated 8 (123-45-678 123-34-678 and so forth)

Marilyn Manson covers Elvis' "In the Ghetto"

The US Marine Band cover of the Charles Ives cover of "America" which is a cover of "God Save the King"

Gotts to widen the musical horizons....

I can keep going....

Well I'll be a monkey's uncle.

I had no idea that This Flight Tonight was a Joni Mitchell song !

*CranialSponge goes back to grumbling about Metallica murdering the classic tune Breadfan*

*plays the original Breadfan song in retribution to Klassified for bringing such horrifying news to her attention*
