First I want to state the purpose of this thread. That is, an attempt
by myself to distance we who truly wish to follow Christ. From the
con artist who only sees a lavish lifestyle and a dollar bill, as we seek
our Heavenly Father.
Who's absence not being evidence, has however allowed many to
be led astray, from any knowledge of his existence. I pray some how,
some way, they may all come to the knowledge of the Creator, that
they may know him and realise his absence is our choice, not his. In
deed a choice that spans history to this moment.

And who could blame him for doing so according to our own free will,
not being his. I simply believe that what Christ wanted us to see more
than anything else. Is that even tho we have free will, his will must
be ours. For what good does it do anyone to be in conflict with
someone who knows more. When does the apprentice ever succeed
in his attempt to remake the wheel? So there now we have the state
of this world, as it has been all down thru the ages. In a state of conflict.
When has this world at anytime ever been with out it?

Now common sense thinking leads me to a conclusion of some magnitude.
Considering I believe the above stated. That being that this world we look
at everyday of our lives is not what was ment to be. And it isn't intended to
offend anyone. But I find no better proof of that then right in what some
might say is Christianitys own back yard. The TV evengelist. No good father
anywhere would approve of such a rackett.

Sucking in the old to false doctrine most of the time. While driving away
the young. I feel a hundred percent in the knowledge that only in this world.
Could an image appear thru "The Power of the Air" right in some elderly
persons bedroom. And jerk an untold amount of money out their shaking
hands. Then even claim it for a god of this world whom they don't even
know. Not our Heavenly Father. Our Father in Heaven doesn't need nor
does he want your money, my money, theirs.

Money is for the things of this world, because in this world only Money Talks.

Televangelism- the use of television to communicate Christianity

Redefined- the use of Christianity communicated thru television.

Clearly anyone involved with these people should find distance.

Prosperity Gospel and False Con Men have done more to damage and destroy the message of Christ than Communism.

Do people watch this on TV anymore? When my daughter was about 6 months old, The 700 Club came on right after 'Bannanas in Pajamas'. The 700 club seemed to keep her interest and gave me another 30 minutes of peace.

I feel a little guilty for that to this day.

I think you would enjoy reading material from Chris Hedges.
American Fascists: The Christian Right and the War on America

Great man and wonderful author. He inspires me to read more.

Many Christians treat God as if He was Buddha, rub His tummy and He will grant your wish, probably the Santa syndrome.

The bible doesn't teach that life will be all happy and roses and good things happening.
The truth is far different.
Wanting more, greed is not a Christian virtue.
The evangelists want more and promise the congregation if they give they will receive, its a form of Las Vegas gambling, the house always wins

Its been said that taxes should be levied against the church, maybe any churches that takes in more than $100,00.00 should pay taxes like big businesses

As reldra eluded to, I don't understand the people who still get
sucked in by the oral flatulence of parasites.

So god has been absent all throughout history and even to this very moment? Is that not a sign that suggests this particular god does not exist?

It's good to question people who 'know more'. Questioning everything and coming up with new answers is how we progress.
