“Socialism” was the most looked-up word on Merriam-Webster’s site this year, a change the American dictionary publisher attributes to US presidential candidate Bernie Sanders, who has positioned of himself as a “democratic socialist”.

Or could it be that socialism has become the forbidden fruit of the grand ole US of A, and we all know everyone wants a taste of the forbidden fruit.

Is that the "communism" that Americans don't understand because their educational system is complete crap or:

Is it the "communism" that is "socialism"? Which is another word Americans don't know because half of their working government is socialistic. Don't tell them. They'll # their pants.

Their seems to be a video for every occasion.

Here's one for you to watch on democratic socialism which Sanders talks about.

Since the Occupy movement, the dirty word as far as many millennials are concerned is not socialism, but capitalism

If you put people's backs against the wall, say next months rent, would anyone bet against Hillary? Serious question.

I would bet on Bernie. I really think he can do it.

It's no secret that I like Sanders and Paul, I like Trump over most of the Gop contenders though but I have serious doubts about the kind of leader Trump will be.

My fear as should be all of you is that either Hillary or Bush win. Bush could still sneak in there after another debate a few endorsements and some self destruction by other candidates. I think Sanders is going to pull it off but Clinton is a Strong Candidate.

I'll say it again. We need to find a way to prop up Sanders and sink Hillary or Hillary could be our next president.

It doesn't matter if Sanders can beat trump if Hillary gets the nomination. That's what we have to stop.

Poll numbers don't mean much this early on. They start to mean something after primaries and when it gets close to the wire...when voters jump to the NOMINEE in support of Party.

Either they jump to Ted Cruz at the end...or Trump...if it's a concerted effort, either can win. It's just too early.

If the msm would just stop protecting Clinton, her whole machine would fall apart. That is her weakest and most vulnerable spot.

And I respect that he's trying to not be a mudslinger. Really hard. That's a great quality in a political season, but he needs to start playing a little hardball. You are right.

Tried to grab a screenshot, but it didn't work.....

here are the "FoxNation" poll results from a minute ago:
nation.foxnews.com...

if the election were held today, who would you vote for?

27% Trump
5% Carson
4% Rubio
7% Cruz
1% Bush
15% Clinton
41% Sanders
(37332 votes)

41%. FORTY-ONE PERCENT.

Maybe the old boy really has a chance. Pity Hillary and the DNC won't let him get the opportunity to run.

Bernie has my vote. UNLESS suddenly something happens to destroy Hillary's chances, then I think Bernie has always been the Establishment's choice.

In the end, I think 'the Establishment' is Congress, because they do the spending, misappropriating, diverting, and non-bidding of America's financial resources and they are beholden to those behind the scenes. Bernie's $18 trillion plan would appear, to me, to be the most lucrative.

So...I am still on the fence -- so to speak -- between not voting and voting for Bernie, all based on possible foreseeable shenanigans.

Realistically, if ANY Democrat becomes President, there will be complete gridlock in Congress. Nothing will be done. Especially the policies that Bernie and Clinton have spoken of.

Bernie cannot work with Republicans. Hillary has already stated Republicans are her 'enemy'.

If they get in, expect vetoes and constant gridlock.

YAY for us.

Ha! Well, expect the sort of gridlock, like the Affordable Care Act, where Congress *cough* 'butts heads' so as to bring the People new ways of making Americans poorer and worse-off and puts more money in the hands of insurance companies, corporations, contractors, pharmaceutical companies, etc...

The two parties work together to make sure there is gridlock.

You could expect the same with any administration though.

Check the voting stats. The Dem's pretty much stayed away in 14. Don't blame them. That's not going to happen in 16. Realistically the GOP may hold the Senate. Outsiders point of view.

screw em
theyve been pulling that bologna for the last 7 already
the republicans or "real republicans" as they always like to think of themselves
claim they want all the old dirty politicians out anyway
if that happens
have a recall election to vote all the turds out of congress the house and the senate
vote in new people who will actually do their god damned job instead of intentionally running the country into the ground
