Once again I post a poll n which Sanders is out performing Clinton. While tittle the poll is about Sanders and Trump, the article goes on to point out Hilary does not fair as well against Trump. I have often thought the reason for the thread crapping of the Sanders threads was due to his stand on democratic socialism, but could it be the other side fears running against him?

I think the republicans could beat hilary clinton, but if they have run against Bernie, I doubt they will win.

Stop the presses! According to a new poll by Quinnipiac University on Tuesday, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) destroys Republican candidate Donald Trump in a general election by 13 percentage points. In this new poll, Sanders has 51 percent to Trump's 38 percent. If this margin held in a general election, Democrats would almost certainly regain control of the United States Senate and very possibly the House of Representatives.

It is high time and long overdue for television networks such as CNN to end their obsession with Trump and report the all-important fact that in most polls, both Hillary Clinton and Sanders would defeat Trump by landslide margins. In the new Quinnipiac poll, Clinton would defeat Trump by 7 percentage points, which is itself impressive and would qualify as a landslide, while the Sanders lead of 13 points would bring a landslide of epic proportions.

Maybe the old boy really has a chance. Pity Hillary and the DNC won't let him get the opportunity to run.

Hell yes!

I think people might be surprised to know just how much grassroots support Bernie has. We'll find out soon enough. He's not "the Democratic Ron Paul", guy was an independent until now. And is only running D in order to get the word out about the issues he believes in.

Yet the same poll sees Clinton crushing Sanders 60% to 30%, and Sanders loses to both Cruz and Rubio...

He was an independent who has always caucused with the Democrats. That's no more an independent that Joe Lieberman was.

I'm glad to see Democrats getting as sick of the establishment Status quo, as Republicans are.
This country has had enough of politics as usual.

If you put people's backs against the wall, say next months rent, would anyone bet against Hillary? Serious question.

Quinni what? Not exactly a well-known pollster and article written by a long-time Democrat. No information on methodology and the article reads like an editorial

To the left this is what is called "balanced and unbiased" journalism.

Not ready to bet the rent, but I believe in Karma. She still could be indicted...especially if Sanders begins to show the Democratic PTB that he could take her place.

Yeah, my wallet fears the hell out of the Bern. I cannot afford a Bernie Sander's presidency, nor do I want my children to grow up in an era of socialist horsecrap brought about by a bunch of self entitled little bastards in college who demand the world provide for them because they exist. We've had enough of that garbage from their parents... now is the time for tough love.

That's the thing. No matter who one would prefer, and I ain't a Hillary fan, there's a reek of destiny(already sealed fate) to this.

ETA: I think Hillary is Lady Macbeth without a conscience.

Isn't that how Obama climbed up into the Senate? Lawsuits and the mysterious release of his opponents' dirty laundry?

Bernie seems to have learned from Chi-town politics. Maybe the information breach at the DNC wasn't quite as much of an accident as everyone thinks ...

As the old saying goes: Nobody ever went broke overestimating the stupidity of the American voter. It would be a damned foolish thing to bet even a penny against that stupidity where Hillary Clinton is concerned. I would place a gentleman's bet on Jeb Bush being done, however.

Known for its exactness and thoroughness, the Quinnipiac poll is featured regularly in The New York Times, The Washington Post, USA Today, The Wall Street Journal and on national network news broadcasts. In 2010, respected public opinion polling analyst Nate Silver ranked the Quinnipiac University poll as most accurate among major polls conducting surveys in two states or more. The Quinnipiac poll was also called "the standout performer" by City and State for the most accurate prediction in the Democratic primary for New York City mayor in 2013.

No info on how it was done like who were polled so a poll in a few heavy democrat areas, (like big cities) would get you this result quite easily. etc., but I got to tell ya this line in the article really made me laugh.

How about, from now on, when any analyst on television discusses how strong Trump allegedly is, that it be emphasized that this strength is only within the GOP, and that in a general election, the real heavyweight champion of presidential polling is Bernie Sanders, not Donald Trump!

I think all of Trumps number are associated with the other Republicans, so what does the writer want here. I guess something like "Trump leads the GOP candidates but will still get Schlong by Bernie"
