honestly not surprised a low information voter is voting for Hillary

Thats how she usually gets her supporters.....

"So and so cant win"

Perhaps they would if people would stop using that line as an excuse and actually put support behind the best candidate, instead of the most likely nominee....

Makes me sad for Rand honestly

I know. He seems pretty solid and level headed and doesn’t get into media mud flinging and hyperbole. But its those good quality’s that are forcing him into the back ground as the uneducated masses want a "show".

I have always said:
If you want a good solid Right candidate vote Rand Paul

If you want a good solid Left Candidate vote Bernie Sanders

If you want the status quo of corny capitlism and corruption vote Hillary or Bush (they are basically the same)

And if you want to speed up the decline into corruption, cronyism and big government overreach and hand direct power over to TPTB vote trump...

But in this case it's low info voters that put the Donald and the rest of the GOP above Rand Paul or any Rep who is not an absolute lunatic or over the top sellout.

a reply to: muse7Bernie has been nothing but the second choice since forever. The Dems have always wanted a Clinton back in office. Since Bill cannot do it Hillary was their choice since Bill left the office. I kind of feel sorry for Bernie and the Dems. I am sure there are good people in the Democratic party just like there are good people in the Republican party. However, good hearted they are we cannot simply give away everything like a socialist wants. Someone has to pay for what ever it is. That is why I do not like the liberal leaning Democrats. They never think about the damage they are doing by offering everything for free, and not knowing how to pay for anything except through higher taxes.

The four flags on this thread, must be from the four Hillary supporters here on ATS (as per my recent poll thread).

If Hillary gets the nomination there is no way in hell I would vote for her. I would still just write in Bernie's name. But since Hillary isn't going to get the nomination I'm not terribly concerned about it. I suppose if Rand Paul got the nomination for the Republicans and Hillary was nominated for the Democrats I'd vote for Rand. But it would burn my soul terribly to do so. He is not his father and several of his positions make me absolutely ill.

But... Bernie's plans are actually economically beneficial. The Single-Payer Healthcare Plan for instance is less expensive than its alternative.

Even though I don't agree with Donald Trump, he has actually laid out detailed policies about things such as his plan to thwart illigal immigration. The media reported on his vague statements, but didn't report that he had an intricate plan outlined a bit later on.

The plans of his that I've seen haven't been based in reality.

A wall isn't feasible
The illegals perform a very needed function in our economy right now so we can't deport them.
Mexico is not going to pay for a wall.

The only part of his plan that I agree with is defunding sanctuary cities.

If Bernie doesn't get it, there are still some good Republicans in the race. If one of those doesn't get it, there's always supporting a third party.

On the subject of Rand, you're right that he's not his father. But what happened to his father? He was pushed to the fringe of his party, opposed as often as possible, and completely screwed over at the convention. Rand isn't making the same mistakes, he's actually playing the political game because he knows what happens if he doesn't. If anything it's a positive since it means he learned from what happened to his family in the past.

Paul is ok, Kasich would be fine, there's nothing wrong with Christie if you don't mind the war on drugs continuing, Bush would be fine if he weren't a Bush, and for all his rhetoric even Rubio is a pretty reasonable person.

I don't know. I honestly think that anyone who thinks Hillary is a better choice as POTUS - even over some of the Republicans - is just misinformed. I cannot wrap my head around someone supporting her while simultaneously understanding what she has done, and most likely will do if inaugurated.

I do not vote for political parties I vote for the person who I think is the best choice.

If Bernie doesn't get the nomination I will NOT be voting for Clinton.

How can anyone be misinformed about Hillary? She has to be the most exposed human on earth. Most of us admire how she has handled all the hate and threats with an iron spine.

Oh, I don't know. I was a Hillary supporter in 2008 and willfully misinformed for decades about the Clintons. It took some effort to step out of my comfort zone and open my eyes to the Clinton crimes going back to PROMIS, Systematics Inc., the Mena drug/gun running with the Bush family, and the long list of dead bodies.

I really don't believe "most of us" admire her, just like I don't believe most people admire Jeffrey Dahmer.
