Always liked their music... This one is a bit different but its a great song

That's why lyrics are needed

i consider myself a pretty big fan of 'Disturbed' i bought their first album back in 2003 when i was still in high school, since then i have always bought their albums as soon as they release and have put in many hours enjoying the full albums on repeat. their music really helped me get through tough times in life, and i do love this one track the op has posted as well.

however i must say their sound of silence cover blows, there are less then 5 'Disturbed' songs that i dislike, this cover is one of them, the original is far better. how ironic that im seeing that #ty cover get more attention on these forums then anything else the band has ever done, depressing...

Can't really compare the original to this cover...

I like how it leads to their style of music... it starts soft and slowly adds parts to the music and eventually leads to... Disturbed

The man has some lungs

In the land before internet, this song had hella impact on ordinary people. Back then society could be all abuzz without being able to text or email.

"And the people bowed and prayed, to a neon god they made,

And the sign flashed out its warning, in the words that it was forming,

And the sign said the words of the prophets are written on the subway walls, and tenement halls."

This really struck a nerve…

Fair enough...
Not trying to start a war.
I liked the music, just not the voice.
