Newt Gingrich just said to the GOP what they I am sure do not want to here.

Link

In addition to daring to call the outsider who’s turning the GOP upside-down an “asset,” Gingrich speaks frankly about the truth the GOP establishment seemingly continues to ignore.

“Look at the size of the crowds he’s drawing, and look at who’s showing up,” Gingrich says. “He is reaching high-school graduates, who are workers, at a level of maybe no Republican, including Reagan.”

“You have have to at least try to figure out, what’s the phenomenon here? What’s going on, because the American public is allowed to pick somebody the Washington elites may not understand. And the job is for the Washington elites to understand the country, not for the country to give into the Washington elites.”

“There is something happening there that is very real… they had all better take a serious look at this. Because it’s not about Trump. It’s about millions of Americans who’ve decided that they don’t want anyone with traditional experience. They want to take a gamble on somebody new.”

I am glad that those who are part of the establishment are finally starting to say that it is not the person but the need for a new direction to bring our country to the forefront that is needed. This election is very similar to 2008. The 'non' leaning voter is sick of nothing getting done in Washington. The GOP leader of the house just allowed a bill to pass that is not at all good for the common citizen. None of it.

This is not about change in 2008 but wanting a new direction. This is not about Trump, as I stated, it is about finding someone other than the establishment that will just slide into office and use it just like the current administration.

Americans are finally sending a clear signal that the diapers on Washington stink and we want them changed.

It doesn't mean people actually like Trump, or even like Sanders for that matter, but it just may mean that large blocks of people are saying, "GET OUT!" and are attempting to send that message in the clearest way they know how.

BRAVO.
Hopefully, some of this will filter up to the GOP establishment elite.

Do you mean the neocon corporate elite and the pentagon? When have they ever listened?

Come election time, Trump will be gone. Then what?

imo, Trump is just a psyop generated actor to let the rabble express their ire for awhile then put em back to sleep with NASCAR, Sports and cheap entertainment.

Don't underestimate the neocons......they have a surprise up their sleeve called War on Terror, the perfect detraction.

If you listen very closely you can hear the war drums off in the distance.....

It's an established pattern.

Or perhaps i'm full of **** and we really do live in Mayberry RFD with Opie, Aunt Bea and Barney.

And Sanders is any different for the left?

What if it doesn't work for either side?

No difference whatsoever.....the results are always the same.

I don't know why I even respond to you. Your ideology and religion has drawn the curtain so tight no light is allowed in.

Because his proxy is going to step into his role; she is now wearing what look like futuristic "Star Wars" uniforms for the female elder elite (the shoulder board epaulets missing for now).

I don't think the establishment is ignorant to what is happening. You have Trump on the Right and Sanders on the Left both gaining support of the People while the establishment choices are only being pushed by the elites. I think they see it for what it is. They understand what is happening just fine, they just don't care.

Their whole lives are lived doing whatever they want and just forcing The People to accept it whether they like it or not. That's probably how they see this too. They know people don't want an insider because the insiders always screw the people over. But that's the whole idea. To them we are nothing but sheep who don't take care of ourselves so they do it for us. They'll just do what they want and expect everyone to deal with it like they always do.

I love (actually hate) how Trump being potentially elected has made this collection of mindless idiots at the GOP FINALLY sit up and take note. However, all they will learn, is that all they need is an idiot, preferably one with money and a history of borderline mob tactics in his business resume, to make people take their party seriously.

Great. Fantastic. Because things were not bad enough over at the GOP. Palm, let me introduce you to my good friend, face!

What was wrong with Mayberry?

Mayberry is confused because two Libertarians (Trump and Sanders) do not realize they represent the extremes of both conservative/liberalism of this parties (Libertarian) politics, one a Donkey the other an Elephant. What would happen if they both ran as independents on the same ticket (would need another animal to represent the Libertarian Party as defined by candidates by both major parties). Elephandork? Donkeypants?

You want to send a message... leave the two parties, help get a third party on the ballot and vote all those crooks out..

ANYONE in either party is not to be trusted.. they will put party politics before the people and should lose their jobs.

Is there a candidate who actually stands for a dramatic change in the way US politics works, I mean aside from the maniac in the fruity blond wig?
If there isn't then the electorate, in its desire to have change no matter what that change may be, might end up with something much, much worse, right?

Like a maniac in a fruity blond wig and his thought processes on the international stage.

/shudder/

I’m afraid if Trump did get in like Obama he would disappoint millions of his voters.

Just like Obama, any good he may have been able to do, has been high jacked by GOP partisan and negative rule of congress.

The only Good Trump may be able to do is actually things he agrees with the progressive side of the political spectrum: Rebuilding infrastructure, replacing not eliminating Obamacare, and an anti-neocon foreign policy...

All the nutty conservative stuff will be blocked by the democrats as the GOP did to Obama

That’s the real reason the GOP elites are afraid.

That Trump isn’t a classical dogmatic conservative other than his idea on immigration

One could say the same about you.

I always read what you say. The thing is that you have yet to say anything to me that others before you have not already said. If the arguments they presented did not move me then, what makes them special because you present them? Perhaps you either need new material or a novel approach.

It's not that the mind is closed; it's just that it's been there and done that.

You would prefer I guess that we all go grab our guns we cling to so bitterly and actually start a revolution?

What he says is very true - and exceedingly frightening when I look back to historical precedents in Europe preceeding WWII. Remember who was Time's Man of the Year in 1938.

The Marshall Plan with it's 'socialist' trappings was designed to 1) stablize the population so that the 'communists' would not gain a real foothold and 2) to avoid such 'extremism' in the future - both of which are 'bad for business'.

Look to history my friends, watch "Triumph of the Will" and see just where this could very well lead.

They did not learn when Ross Perot was holding 39% of the vote at one time beating the GOP and DNC. Why did they not learn? Because Perot like Trump garner lost of early press but, when it comes down to it people get start to want more than just vague promises. And Perot like Trump never offer anything more. In the people will ask, so what can these guys really do in office if they can not get along either political party.
