minimi was quite correct about the Vari-Ez. There was also a bigger 4-6 seater based on the same design called the Rutan Defiant.

Time for something slightly different... all of these diagrams came from a well-established magazine, see if you can name the aircraft.

Don't be too hasty though as at least one is not at all what it might seem to be. All these aircraft were built and flew with just one exception - which one ?

1.

2.

3.

4.

5.

I hope I remember how to get these pix up !

Have fun.....

I believe this one was the exception which was never built, it was the Britten Norman Mainlander.

Stealth spy, the one on the left in your picture was an early wind tunnel model for the LCA.

Oh yes it is infact the P.106 given to India.

Infact it was you who gave me this info. I got it confirmed from someone who works at NAL.

Any idea about the plane on the right ??

Ok, since I came bake this topic, I found that Steath posted pics which is reall much easier than others'.
The first is Super Mirage 4000
The second is Mirage G.1.

I was thinking Mirage too. Definitely Mirage 4000 for the photo but I was thinkng more of the Mirage F.2 for the drawing.

Ok Waynos:
I guess that was a Mirage G2 because it looks like fixed wing of Mirage G8
whereas Mirage F.2 actually is one below, which is two-seat Mirage F.1

On the other hand Stealth's posted picture is Mirage F.8 according to my record in computer, so your answer is more closer to the correct than me factually

well done emile, it was only the fixed shoulder wing layout that led me to guess it was in the Mirage 'F' series, I didn't know they had designed up to the F8 as I knew that only the F1 and F2 had flown, I had also forgotten that the F2 only had one engine.

It wasn't a two seat version of the F1 though, as you say, it was an altogether different, bigger aircraft designed around the same layout.
