No 1 of my previous set was India's HF-73. Only one prototype was built and when it crashed the project was cancelled .

You are also an able-man in my sight. Would you post a photo of the HF-73 prototype which isn't a model?

To the best of my knodwledge, there are'nt any pictures of the prototype.

I have a seen a picture of the crash-debris in a magazine at a local library, but i am not sure if its on the internet for me to post.

India had previously attempted to build a supersonic fighter : the HF-73, a development of the Marut. HF-73 was to use engines with more power. The project was cancelled after a crash.

Emile,

I cannot believe that is anything other than a flight of fancy by some well-meaning amatuer who has had not actual engineering training.

Cheers

I think that U.K. is still considered as a advanced country just because she has been having much abundant imaginations. What do you think?

I emile, I'll just point out that the pic you posted above was a 1980's BAe/R-R ASTOVL proposal (meaning Advanced Short Take-off Vertical Landing) and it was a precursor to Britain joining the JSF, I have loads of similar pictures of unbuilt projects because they fascinate me. Not just British ones either, US and Russian too as well as a few others. Maybe the most outlandish was a Hawker Siddeley design for a supersonic swing wing maritime patrol aircraft looking a little similar to the Boeing 2707 SST, however they saw sense and built the Nimrod instead!

My first impression of #2 is that it is a Republic F-84 Thunderstreak minus its mainwheels.

I have to be sorry to say that picture from another quizz from a Chinese BBS which give the answer is a yak-18 was refited as F-84 for movie performance.
