veltro, correct again
glad you're still on board.

emile, welcome along,

2, well reasoned, but it has its own name.
5, it looks like it, but the country it comes from does seem to design aircraft that look vaguely Russian. Also don't you think there's a passing resemblance (no more than that) to the much much later Sikorsky S-70 Blackhawk? In short then, no, it isn't Russian.

Again a Great person. your always correct
www.helispot.com... from this web address we can find where Waynos find out this photo. I suggest we keep this web to protect us from Waynos's quiz
www.helispot.com...
In this web there are too many copter will give Waynos to quiz us.

If you go back through the quiz emile you will see that is the first and only phot from that site, I'm much harder than that to pin down because first I decide what plane/helo to include in the quiz then I go looking on the net for a picture of it, so you see there is no single source that will help you

This thread has missed out on some real gems merely because I couldn't find a picture online of the plane I wanted.

edit for answer n05, no, it aint a Sikorsky either, I hope you don't intend reeling off helo companies until you get the right one
You have to come up with the ID, if no one gets it I generally reveal the answers after two days.

By the way, I used that helo site to try and find no 5, guess what, it isn't on it

Waynos,

Any clues for no.5?

Hmmmm, thats difficult.

If you do crosswords I can offer you a cryptic style one;

" sounds like a church in a country that twice isn't in the east"

but that just might make things worse!

It flew in 1958 and remained a prototype is much more straightforward.

Waynos, you are foxy, aren't an honest boy.

No 5 Westland Westminister.

This time with the R on the end- must buy a new keyboard, the keys are sticking on this one.

Correct! Now read that silly clue again and it might make a little bit of sense

No attempts at number three though? It sounds more like a job than plane.

It was the clue that helped me- I knew it was a Westland Design- Just couldnt remember the name. West West Minister(Church)

No 3 Aviation Traders ATL 90 Accountant

Yes, the Accountant is correct also, funny name for an airliner isn't it. not very glamorous or appealing like its contemporaries 'Comet' 'Viscount' etc

Just for the record you have one letter too many in the name of no5; its Westminster, not westminister. A minster is a church. Not enough to deny you victory, I took it to be a typo but seeing as you mentioned it twice,

Hello,

I have something to say. First of all to Veltro, please forgive me for calling you a "cheater", I know that was too hard. I´m really sorry.
But I also want to say that I don´t agree with your "methods", this should be a knowledge quiz, not a google searching contest. Anyway, I still want to participate, but I don´t think I´ll post more pics.

Sorry again for all.

Ok, back to our business:

2) Blackburn GAL 60
3) Fairchild XC-123

I don´t know the others, but I asume they are also prototypes...

1. Mikoyan-Guryevich Ye-152M Flipper

4. Looks like a F-86K or later with a chopped off nose cone, the intake looks right, but it's missing the bulb. Canopy looks different as well. The roundels look French or Italian, so it's probably a mod or a whole new aircraft that I don't know about.
