I knew I remembered seeing it in one of the many aircraft books I used to have. Sadly alot of them got lost during moves though. I thought it was called the aircar or something so eventually I found it.

It looks like a small plane that has snagged an alpine cable and gotten locked together with the gondola.

Ok, after some detective work based on various features of the plane...

1. Transavia PL-12 Airtruk

good one Waynos!

UPDATE:
I just realized this was the plane used in the movie Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome, I always thought it was just some kind of cool mock-up.

Heres a picture from the movie of the plane.

Err... I don´t know how to tell you this but... it´s not an Alouette II either

Well thats my helicopter books on the fire then

It does look identical to the Alouette II, which is what I meant to put first time round, so I guess its a licenced version of it like your Xavante pic then?

I'll hacve to have a dig for it.

Not a licenced version of the Alouette II or anything like that...

I didn´t think this one was going to be that hard.

You've lost me then, but are you sure about it not being anything to do with the Alouette II?

look at this picture, its not just similar, the only difference I can see is the colour

Well... it has something to do with the Alouette II... and III... I think I talked too much...

There are some differences... for example, see how much higher from the ground is mine, than the Alouette II...
