Correct! It does look quite odd for a Mirage doesn't it. squat and with two weedy little engines, not what you would expect at all. Of course it was a 'first try' so not too bad really.

Lol, that's what I thought too. It looks like some kit-built plane you can put together in your garage not a mighty Mirage! It was also called The Mystere Delta apparently.

4 piston engines, later switched to 2 turboprops.

All correct again, well done guys.

The flag on the tail is a bit odd, and not too clear, on the Herald. The picture is of the Herald prototype before the switch to twin turboprops for the production version and as far as I know this version never saw service anywhere so I don't know what the flag is.
