Just kidding !! Took one look at Gazroks hint and hit google and tada- I hope thats not cheating!

The sad thing is I can tell you roughly some engine specs and or what would be the design flaws in each design but have no clue about the names!

The first one is still mysterious to me but from the picture I can tell you these things about it:
1) Its a pusher obviously! That is -it makes a hell of a lot of noise and moves some thing close to a pregnant yak in dogfight.
Noise is caused by the fact that pusher prop has to chop through air of different velocities at different locations of prop disc, turbulence, exhaust and the heat produced due to friction and firing those guns also causes havoc to the air flow. Another factor is that the heavy drag due to the bulky engine casing [Man that is bulky!I'd say more than 1000hp each atleast Are their people inside that casing?]
Control problem are caused due to the lack of propeller wash over the main manifold and the tail section to give it adequate lift at low speeds[like take off and high banking] and also I could say that the plane could stall more in tight banks and in steep climbs than a regular tractor!
2) From its wing config it looks to be a long range bomber or interceptor or something for long range!Oh and another thing it was a failed project-thats easy!

I can tell you this much but not the name
Somebody tell me the name!! PLEASEEEE!

IAF
GOT IT
It is a Bell Airacuda YFM

waynos is right. I love that plane it just looks so cool for its time and for Poland who didnt have much of an airforce in WW2 but they did have some of the best pilots most of them were sent to england to the RAF. I met one of em which still lives in camden town in london where he was stationed in ww2.
