Gotcha!

I've found that one of the things I have now started doing when choosing pictures is to think "what might that be mistaken for?" I'm happy to say you almost got a clean sweep there!

Of course the Bf 109 however is correct, I just knew the RAF marks wouldn't disguise it

The one in the other lot that looked a bit like a P-80 variant is in fact a FIAT G.82 basic trainer of the Italian Air Force.

Is 4. a Piaggio Douglas PD 808? I saw one recently at Heathrow, and tho its in military colours, it looks similiar.

And 3 is definately a NorthAmerican P-64.

Brilliant. I really didn't think anyone would get the P-64
and yes, the other one is a PD 808.

I've searched far and wide for this selection, a word of caution, the first thing you think of may not be the right answer

Well done so far
Strictly speaking no3 is a Vought Chesapeake but as it was only the British name for the Vindicator you got it. Your other two guesses are correct too.

3 right so far here no 4.

4:Antonov AN-8 Photo looks like it was taken in the UAE.

40 years at looking at Flight/Flying Review Mags is paying off.

Yes, it is an Antonov An-8, I will reveal the final answer tomorrow, if no-one gets it there are also some rather interesting facts about that plane that should go down well on here.

I notice how most Antonovs have a fragile part on the nose, like the glass curvatures.

Strange, do they act as observatories for the ground below?

Shattered OUT...

I've always thought them to be navigational windows but I'm not 100% sure.

The unidentified fighter pic shows an FMA IA 33 Pulqui II. The interesting fact that I mentioned is that this fighter is in fact the closest relative to the almost mythological Focke Wulf Ta-183 ever flown. It was designed by Kurt Tank when he fled to Argentina after the war and clearly draws heavily on his jet experience from the Ta-183. The project would have been entirely successful but Tank left Argentina and the project collapsed without him.

Now the next lot;
