Again, he is not the only person who takes decisions in Kremlin.

He has final say on everything coming out of the Kremlin.

But ultimately, the president has the final say over Moscow's course.

They will need to be resupplied, which may be difficult if Russia goes to war with Turkey.

Not only that Russia's economy couldn't sustain any long confrontation.

Mad dog Erdogan vs Prince Pedo Putin ?

This is about Putin's presumption that without a functioning and a diverse economy , Russia can exist on military power alone .

Erdogan is trying to unite sunni muslims and why shouldn't he ?

the situation in the air and ground in Syria proves Russia is not posed to lose that war. Pretty much the opposite to the theoretical comments of many people here who want to see a different reality than the existing one.

What you believe may bring death & destruction to millions of people in the region .

30 million people live in Istanbul and most people are armed .

I have Christian family members ; why would I lie about having Christians in Turkey ?

This belief you have " one day the Turk will be cleansed of Anatolia " ; is at the bottom of this issue .

Dogma which the Church has indoctrinated your lot leaves no room for anything other than conflict, unfortunately.

Ukraine & Turkey are talking about a joint military operations in Crimea region .

Word of advice if I may ; Dagestan , Caucasia and Western Thrace are all awaiting an opportunity .

I wouldn't provide that opportunity if I was an Orthodox Christian .

There isn't enough support from NATO states to war with Russia over Syria and Ukraine.

No, not yet.

But if Turkey is rogue and continues to provoke the bear, there will be reaction and retaliation from Moscow.

Then, NATO may not have a choice but to get involved, especially after the warmongers and lobbyists from arms corps have had there 2p worth..i'm frankly amazed Erdogan hasn't been taken out of the picture yet..by either Moscow or NATO to eliminate the real threat of escalation by Turkey.

Russia makes weapons and tanks at a pace faster than cars.

Where did you read that? Here are the best figures I could find:

The Defense industry of Russia is a strategically important sector and a large employer in Russia. It is also a significant player in the global arms market. Russia is the second largest conventional arms exporter after the United States, with $13.5 billion worth of exports in 2012.[1] Combined, the USA and Russia account for 58% of all major weapons exports.[2]

[Edit for brevity. --DJW001]

Problems in the industry include a high level of debt, inflation and lack of qualified personnel. Younger scientists and engineers who are needed in Russia to form the next-generation of weapons designers are leaving the nation in droves. A few years ago[when?] the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) estimated that 70,000 scientists and specialists from Russian defence institutes and military-industrial complex enterprises had left the country. The consequence is that whereas the age of the average defence industrial scientist or engineer in China is about 30 and around 40 in the US – it is 50 years or more in Russia In 2008, it was reported that only 36% of military-industrial enterprises are solvent, while 23% are on the verge of bankruptcy.[22] Significant portions of the increases in Russia's military procurement budget are being eaten up by inflation: while the country's overall inflation rate in 2008 was 13%, in certain weapon categories the figure was more than 30%.[23] Many skilled workers are nearing retirement age, and young graduates are hesitant to enter the industry due to low wages and insufficient career opportunities.[22] In 2009, a senior official said that the Russian military industry had effectively "reached its ceiling" and could not take on any more orders.[7] Further growth will require a serious upgrade of production facilities, as well as investment in skills and training.[11] Yury Solomonov, chief designer of the Topol-M and Bulava ICBMs, has said that Russia is 10–15 years ahead of its rivals in the development of strategic nuclear weapons, but 30 years behind in the development of conventional arms.

en.wikipedia.org...-cast_exports2009-11

If you were implying that Russia is not a country interested in peace, but rather relies on global conflict to keep its economy afloat, I agree.

Automotive production is a significant industry in Russia, directly employing around 600,000 people or 1% of the country's total workforce. Russia was at Nr 15 of car producing nations in 2010, and accounts for about 2% of the worldwide production. In 2009 the industry produced 599,265 cars,[1] down from 1,469,429 in 2008[2] due to the global financial crisis, and 1,895,474 vehicles in 2014.[3] The largest companies are light vehicle producers AvtoVAZ and GAZ, while KamAZ is the leading heavy vehicle producer. Eleven foreign carmakers have production operations or are constructing their plants in Russia.

en.wikipedia.org...

Russian exports of passenger automobiles amounted to $980 million compared to $13.5 billion in weapons. Given that the price point on tanks and aircraft is much higher than on passenger cars, I would have to say that the actual production of automobiles is faster than that of weapons systems, although it is not as important to the economy. (Does anyone you know own a Lada?)

www.tradingeconomics.com...

Overall, the Russian economy has been suffering due to Putin's foreign policy blunders:

www.tradingeconomics.com...

the situation in the air and ground in Syria proves Russia is not posed to lose that war.

The situation in the air is that Russia is fighting an air war against an opponent that has no air force! Do I need to remind you that Turkey does have an air force and has demonstrated that it can take down a Russian fighter-bomber with no difficulty? As for the ground war, there are no Russians participating directly in combat. Given how long it is taking Russia to take out a group armed with pickup trucks and Russian small arms, their odds against a nation armed with high tech weaponry does not look so good. I hope everyone appreciates the irony of Russia mocking the United States' efforts in the region. Remember the experts predicting that IS will be crushed in two weeks?

Faster doesn't mean better.

You can build them as fast as you want, but you need personnel to run them and Russia has problems with getting that.

In reality they aren't actually fighting a war...they are helping a country that is fighting in a war.

Russia doesn't need to be there...they are there to help a murderous regime stay in power for their own agenda. You see Russia wasn't caring about Syria until they figured out Ukraine wasn't going the way they wanted it to.

With the citizens like you, the US does not really need any mainstream media. How and why are you on this site? It just seems like you are in the wrong place. Maybe try and join CNN, ABC and others in their discussion boards. If you don't have an account there already...just kidding

Russia is there, because the legitimate government called for aid because there's an attempt to illegally overthrow them by terrorists with the support of the west.

But i agree Russia shouldn't be there. It should be the UN helping Syria. Why are they not doing so? And by who's order?

Murderous regime my ass. Same as Gaddafi was, right?

actually it is not my saying, every country have leaked intelligence "patriots" mostly masons, which they reveal things from under the rug. We also have videos on YouTube from retired generals who worked with NATO during the 90s and they reveal these plans. These plans will be activated when they decide that "it is time for them" to built up / introduce Konstantinupolis/Instambul as the city of NWO. Before the big war with east.

Interesting that you do not discuss the topic of threads but other members, but that is your contributions in most threads.

Russia is there, because the legitimate government called for aid because there's an attempt to illegally overthrow them by terrorists with the support of the west.

They have their own agenda to being there...they sure weren't worried about them for the last few years this has been happening...why is that?

But i agree Russia shouldn't be there. It should be the UN helping Syria. Why are they not doing so? And by who's order?

Russia, as they have vetoed anything having to do with the UN and Syria.

See they are hurting Syria by vetoing anything with the Security Council because they have a problem with other members...mainly the US. So until they get off their high horse and start cooperating with the rest of the security council the UN will not be able to do much for Syria in the way of intervening in the conflict.

Murderous regime my ass. Same as Gaddafi was, right?

Yes keep believing Assad doesn't run a murderous regime...

Who is dropping barrel bombs from Syrian military helicopters...Syrian military personnel that's who.

Here this may help you out...although that is doubtful.

The government has dropped unguided 'barrel bombs' on population centres, killing people indiscriminately, according to Amnesty International and other rights groups.

newirin.irinnews.org...

Keep believing they aren't a Murderous regime, but the truth has already been shown...just because you would rather keep your eyes shut so you don't see the harsh truth doesn't mean it isn't so.

Why is it you and a few always want to bring into the conversation the man who was responsible for killing a plane load of innocent civilians over Scotland and act as though he is some nice guy dictator that never did no wrong?

You have a blind eye to the real world because of your, and I am going to guess hate for America that makes you believe what you want.

I don't have America; I hate everything it represents. I have much sympathy for the people of that once great country, but that's off topic.

Interesting that you do not discuss the topic of threads but other members, but that is your contributions in most threads.

You know, sometimes, just stating the obvious is enough of contribution as it is. My purpose on this forum is to provide the other side of the story and make people start researching; not just blindly following and accepting everything their government tells them. Maybe I will get to you some day...

They have their own agenda to being there...they sure weren't worried about them for the last few years this has been happening...why is that?

Because they didn't have the legal rights to interfere. Once they were asked for assistance, they joined the party you guys threw. What's the point of having international rules, if you are not going to follow them? Which just confirms my point that those rules to not apply to the superpowers. Oh well, big surprise.

Russia, as they have vetoed anything having to do with the UN and Syria.

So until they get off their high horse and start cooperating with the rest of the security council the UN will not be able to do much for Syria in the way of intervening in the conflict.

Why doesn't the Un or the Security Council put embargo on helping terrorists in Syria who are illegally trying to get the power?

I'm sure Russia wouldn't mind that.

Yes keep believing Assad doesn't run a murderous regime...

Who is dropping barrel bombs from Syrian military helicopters...Syrian military personnel that's who.

Here this may help you out...although that is doubtful.

I will believe so till you guys show some concrete evidence which shows otherwise. So far, all you've got are reports nothing we can rely on.

Keep trying.

Syria was another victim of the phony Arab spring revolt. That huge black psychological operation done on the Arabs.

Syria was the most secular stable regime in the ME. And the US/NATO/Israel/Turkey/Gulf State intelligence groups ganged up and created this fake war in Syria.

They bribed the religious maniac, sectarian crazy Wahhabis and created these small bands of religious lunatic groups to attack Syria.

This was and is one of the worst black operations in history.

It created immediate KARMA (good) BY THE MASSIVE Syrian refugees going to Europe (GOOD)—they deserve it.

God bless Putin for intervening to cease this retched war on the Syrian people.

They created a bunch of what amounts to war lord groups in Syria just to overthrow Assad.

They didn’t give a dam about the Syrian people when they did that.

And the US black ops were behind it.

They deliberately made Syria into an Afghanistan with crazy religious Wahhabi warlords going all over the country, INCLUDING ISIS, BTW causing rape, and rapine and slaughter.

None of these groups were “moderate”

The West deserves a flood of these people in the countries for creating it in the first place.

If I remember correctly Russia has military bases in Syria...which gives them the right to be in Syria if they wanted to be there.

I will believe so till you guys show some concrete evidence which shows otherwise. So far, all you've got are reports nothing we can rely on.

So who exactly was it dropping barrel bombs on civilians from a Syrian military helicopter?

It can't be those fighting against Assad, as they don't have Syrian military helicopters at their disposal, but the Syrian regime does...but feel free to show where any of those fighting against Assad have the ability to drop barrel bombs on civilians?

You can believe what you want...the evidence is out there.
