The only survivor resides at the Udvar-Hazy Air and Space Museum.

It's interesting that the 307 used square windows similar to the Comet. I doubt it flew as high as the Comet though, so stress cracks wouldn't have been a problem.

Boeing also never had the reputation that De Havilland had already had, for decades before the Comet, of its aeroplanes coming apart in the air, which was unfortunate for them. They were probably not the best choice for creating the worlds first jetliner. I seriously believe that Vickers would have made a far better job of it. Or even Boeing themselves, but the Brabazon committee were never going to go there :-)
