Well we sure know it doesn't mean 'liberal'.

Cause that words means 'FREEDOM'.

And there is the problem, some americans think Right=Freedom. Said something about that in my first post of this thread.

I was waiting on that. It's confirmed. You are just playing around trying to get a rise out of people.

You are saying that Mussolini was lying. ROFLMAO.

I learned thanks to LEFT wing fascists and their 'control' of people have to prove their worth to the STATE then they might be granted their constitutional RIGHT.

The famous background check to prove a person is WORTHY to keep, and bear arms.

That is pure unadulterated FASCISM.

Curious. Have you, perchance, read this thread?

There was a poll done, and in that poll there were a couple of questions about gun ownership. You might be interested in that:

Q29 Do you support or oppose requiring a criminal background check of every person who wants to buy a firearm?
Support a criminal background check for everyone who wants to buy a firearm.............79%
Oppose a criminal background check for everyone who wants to buy a firearm.............14%
Not sure......................................................................................................6%

This was the Republican response to that question. They also responded to another:

Q30 Would you support or oppose a bill barring people on the terrorist watch list from purchasing a firearm?
Support a bill barring people on the terrorist watch list from purchasing a firearm...............80%
Oppose a bill barring people on the terrorist watch list from purchasing a firearm...............13%
Not sure...........................................................................................................7%

May want to talk to other conservatives about the whole Bill of Rights thing... there's even a handy breakdown further in the full results that shows responses by candidate supported.

The meat and potatoes

The similarities outweigh the differences

The similarities have a heavy negative impact on populations

The economics of fascism are collectivist, socialist and redistributionist – supremely hostile to free-market capitalism and wealth inequalities. Indeed, fascism is closely related to communism in both theory and practice. The chief difference between the two is that fascism is rooted in nationalism and seeks to create a socialist utopia within the confines of a particular country's borders; thus the Nazis, for instance, embraced “National Socialism.” Communism, by contrast, seeks to transcend national boundaries and promote a worldwide proletariat revolution, where the foot soldiers are bound together not by a common nationality but by their membership in the same economic class. The communist position was articulated in Karl Marx's famous exhortation in the Communist Manifesto: “Workers of the world, unite!”

Apart from this distinction, communism and fascism are kindred spirits of anti-capitalist totalitarianism. Author Jonah Goldberg characterizes them as “closely related, historical competitors for the same constituents, seeking to dominate and control the same social space.” As the fascist Mussolini put it, in a 1921 speech: ......

kindred spirits

They always outweigh the differences when government is thrown in the mix.

All governments, including the first continental congress.

A few things. Firstly you have, once again, changed subject. Which means that you seem to have realised that you were once again losing. Secondly the Second Amendment refers to a well-regulated militia, so background checks make perfect sense. Thirdly stop shouting random words. It makes you look like a child.

You're chart sort of supports the OP. Someone can be a fascist and socialist at the same time. It's a North/South trait, not an East/West.

Also, this is one of those threads that sadly exposes how few people discussing this topic have a legitimate formal education.

America claims to be followers of Adam Smith's model of capitalism. That may have true in the beginning but recent history shows otherwise. Smith's model demands the extinction of businesses that do not operate on their own. "Risk" is necessary for it allows competition and a failed business, regardless the reasons of it's demise, must cease to exist to allow other opportunists to fill the void. Therefore, a business must be savvy to make a profit after all expenses been paid according to Law.

With that in mind, a relationship exists between the business, the consumer and the government. The govt., with the understanding of the need to assist the business for the common good, legislates Laws to assist business owners to thrive. Under normal circumstances where a business operates and make a profit after all liabilities i.e., taxes, overhead, ins. and compensation(s) under the Law, the common good is maintained by all parties involved. Yet, according to Smith, risk is a factor necessary for the evolution of business interests.

If and when risk is eliminated by govt. and corporate interests, and the individual and or consumer is harmed, fascism exists. The degree of fascism involved may be severe. The "even playing field" is disrupted and harm is inflicted upon the individual and or consumer. Recent cases of harm is evident as a result of "fracking" operations. The fascist relationship harms those who's property is damaged and neither the govt. or corporation wishes to rectify. And of course, the power of that relationship between govt. and industry harms others rights as a result. When President Bush stated Wall St. Banking and investment entities are "too big to fail" he declared fascism exists and is at play during the crisis.

What was evident is the individual and or consumer will "collectively" pay the damages and risk is not a factor in the outcome of the crisis. However, all profits of same entities are "private" and the property of those who enjoyed such as bailout benefit as a result. There are those who say the damage was negligible and poor management and or a matter of negligence was addressed with "fines" to the govt. therefore no other assessment is warranted. The fact is, the amount of fines paid are a mere fraction of the damage incurred. Critics argue there is evidence of criminal intent and a thorough investigation is recommended. Also, the whole situation reeks of fascist involvement.

Risk, as Adam Smith felt was necessary, is eliminated to a large degree. We see it often. A good example is the cable industry. They enjoy regional operations where competing entities do not exist. They dictate prices and service management lacks as a result. There is no real risk and consumers suffer. This is the result of this marriage of govt. and industry. Lobbying and big money in campaign donations has harmed the individual and consumers rights and getting worse everyday. The elite are fascist by nature and socialistic as well. For they live and thrive among others and peers that benefit as a result of no risk is involved. Their losses are covered and liabilities are managed to the degree loss is repaid through some combination of govt. powers that assist their existence.

The last consideration discussed in this thread is Nationalism. For nationalism to exist requires participation by all people within the nation to work together for the common good. All people benefit as a result if they believe the system is worthy and they are recognized with freedom and liberty. America seems to be the victim of a thousand cuts in contemporary times. People sense the erosion of their rights and liberties as a result of this fascist arrangement between govt. and industry interests. People now see the threat of fascism and how it relates to the destruction of their personal rights and liberties. Most people polled express their disapproval of fascist policies and how they feel harmed as a result.

Most feel the strain that their freedoms and liberties are hampered by forces beyond their control. Many express that only the elite, people of means rather as a result of personal wealth or corporate affiliations, are more apt to gain freedom and liberties. Many feel they are enslaved in a system with little or no say in the matters of great importance. American principals morph through time and social conditions erode before their eyes. The end result of Free Trade, that was promised to be beneficial to all, has brought the opposite. They see the flight of American industry to foreign shores has eliminated much of their goals. They see the middle class shrink and the the consolidation of industry interests has harmed society with the elimination of competing alternatives.

Now we, faced with the drive of the new world order, see such ambitions as a threat to national security. Many express fascist governing is threatening and used against their will to produce the aims of globalists. The United Nations threaten to isolate American interests globally if certain remedies such as citizens standing down from threats designed to control the masses are not managed to their expectations. The United Nations expect American leaders to make changes that are contrary to the Constitution and Bill of Rights. They push agenda 21 and want gun control in America. They've already gained ground with property rights and seized control of mineral rights across the nation. America is selling off it's sovereignty and the President's administration is negotiating trade agreements with Asia and the Pacific nations behind closed doors.

By all considerations, Americans sense doom as a result of the massive debt and ineffectual leadership that has gripped the nation. Recent job increases may be favorable to a point, yet the good paying jobs no longer exists. They've left and the new jobs pale in comparison with the high skilled jobs lost. Wages has stagnated for the majority of workers and compensation for top management positions in leading corporate structures are through the roof. 1% of on the nation owns most of the wealth and it is estimated to be over at least 50% of the economy.

Private interprise houses much of those incarcerated and American prison rates are higher than China with a billion people population. Mass shootings plague our streets and police agencies across the country has the bad habit of shooting unarmed people at will. So, in summation, America has major problems that may not be addressed in our life-span. Our children's children's children will face the debt we incurred twenty years ago and default is in the cards. However, discussing capitalism vs socialism, fascism and communism seems to be irrelevant when it's obvious we now live in a fascist police state.

I found you to be the biggest Internet arm chair know it all in this thread. You backed up nothing you said and when totally rebutted on more than a few posts resorted to add hominem. You seem to completely lack any understanding of the topic you are discussing and appear to be learning as you go.

Fascism is not a left/right trait just as socialism is not a North/South trait. They can and do co-exist. Hitler falls far north/center right on the political compass. He was not far-right. Far-right to describe a political party is a misnomer and is a holdover from antiquated politic maps. It just means right of center and very authoritarian.

The USA would typically be a literal far right government in modern terms. Almost all Americans, both dem and rep, identity farther right than hitler. My hero Milton Freedman was almost as far right as you could get. So maybe you should have learned what the term "far-right " means before you waded into the deep end. The wiki quote you provided is still referring to a left of center/center/right of center very authoritarian government.

A lot of people confuse right/left communist/libertarianism with right/left authoritarian/libertarian. They are different charts when used separately and that's where your obvious confusion us coming to play.

You see, on old political charts libertarian was far left and authoritarian was far right. So Far-right in the sense you are trying to use it is only referring to authoritarianism.

War isn't religious, religion is used as the excuse leading to war. Even the conquistador's columns of marching infantry and horse calvary were led by a priest holding up a crucifix, to frighten the natives. Then the conversion was used as higher moral ground on the "Heathens" to demoralize and dehumanize them, before stealing their gold. So yah, the name of God in the beginning, then just slaughter and pillage at the crux.

"Onward christian soldiers marching as to war, with the cross of Jesus going on before."

What a mind meld religion is. Very useful to the state to patronize populations. The fomenters are hardly pious, greed and power are their gods.
