Which model of the F-35 is a priority then? Is it the model that's the most versatile? Or is it the model than can best take advantage of the latest carrier?

They're both not prizes. However, the Indies have space to be fixed up. The Frees don't.

The three models are for the different services. The A is designed to use a fixed runway operated by the Air Force, the B is designed for short takeoff/vertical landing operated by the Marines, and the C can use fixed runways or carriers, for the Navy.

It's three A models. There are a total of 11 more aircraft than original budgeted.

The bill includes funding for 12 additional KC-46s. That means that it stays fixed price.

The bill includes 4 MQ-9s, one attrition reserve CV-22 for AFSOC, restores funding for the EC-130H, the A-10, 12 KC-46s, one UH-1Y, one MQ-4C, 102 UH-60s, and 64 rebuilt AH-64s.
