Yep, the snow will glow under a beautifully full moon this year.
...but wait! There's more!

Christmas this year will see a full Moon for the first time in 38 years – and in an odd cosmic coincidence, the last time we had one on Christmas was the year Star Wars: A New Hope was released (1977). This year, of course, sees the return of the franchise with The Force Awakens.

You read that right! Coincidence? Probably.
More than simple coincidence? Hey, you're on ATS and it's fun to imagine

Stay astonished!

Other publications seem to have their priorities totally messed up...

For the first time in 38 years, the Christmas night sky will have a full moon. What joy! The last time this occurred was in 1977 — not too long after the release of the movie Saturday Night Fever.

www.vox.com...

New Hope was released in May '77...I think they may be taking the piddle out of us...Saturday Night Fever...please.

Although...

I will be out on my porch with a nice cigar and a glass of scotch that night enjoying the unseasonable weather after we open presents.

Sweet. Perfect conditions for a Santa Claus silhouette. Let us all hope he does it.

The weather channel say's Sacramento should expect rain. Other than that I'm prepared with some prime rib sandwiches! I can't wait to munch down.

That's a perspective thing, so you may need to be in the right place to get the proper perspective (but being Santa, he may magically be able to be silhouetted against the Moon from every possible perspective).

After being -40f the last two Christmases, I for one welcome a little bit of warm weather for a change.
