One of my favorite bands. A great collaboration of British and American rock & rollers.
Chrissie Hynde is a great songwriter. The evolution of the band is quite remarkable.

"You arrived like a day, and passed like a cloud"

"They'll fall to ruin one day, for making us part"

"You forgive though you don't understand"

"GOT MOTION RESTRAINED EMOTION , BEEN DRIVING DETROIT LEANING"

I shouldn't click on those videos. I feel rebel and irresponsible again.

Young band. "Don't get me wrong"
I totally dig them and Chrissie can wail.

I always liked this band. I think they're under rated.

Female singers back then got little support from the industry unless you wanted to be slutty or limp(pretty). Debby Harry is in this group with Chrissie too imo.

I wouldn't trade those days for 3 80's and a 90.

Gotta keep mah 80's... but the late 70's were a very good time in music...... hell, the entire 70's were great for music, I just still have issues liking the efforts of KC & the Sunshine Band, and the Bay City Rollers...

I have an excuse though, I was a child.. so Sammy Davis Jr to me singing Candyman, was only a guy singing a catchy tune...

Ray Stevens "the streak" had us kids screaming "HEY ETHEL!!!" in the school hallways..

I wish the kids these days could keep their innocence and joke around like that... we may have put too much on their plate I fear...
