Agreed; myself as well. This was one of the topics that actual brought me to ATS.

not to derail

One of the posts here eludes to meth; the new methods of meth making (no pun intended) do not even require propane... however, if the 'collectors' of the cell phone and explosives were making meth, it was going to be a Lhit Shoad!!!

I wonder who they caught? You know they would stakeout the location and wait for someone to come check on their explosives stash; and why publicly report on an ongoing investigation when it could tip off the suspects.

I'm going to make a prediction. IF (and that's a big IF) there is some type of mass causality event here in Missouri or even in one of our bordering states, the perps won't survive more than a few hours to a day after committing such an act. The perps will also be local, between the ages of 18 and 30, U.S citizens, and their love for explosives will be evident, as theirs homes will be filled with them. The official story after all is said and done will have even more holes than the last official "Official Story".

Most of the mass murder that happens in this country is orchestrated by our dark masters. As far as we know that hunter may have averted an attack because the smoking gun evidence couldn't be planted on or in the home of the poor schmuck that had turned terrorist unbeknownst to him.

Frankly, our idiot government is going to close the barn door after the horse has left.

It's way too late now. I believe they've been here for QUITE A WHILE.

There was a trail cam pic released showing a tall medium-skintone guy in a brown leather jacket returning to the location, but it's shot from the rear.

My guess is they do have a better pic, but don't want to tip their hand....still. Trail cams are a useful tool!

Megachurches. What better place to find mass amounts of Christians than the Megachurches on Christmas? One of the local churches in Southwest Missouri has a weekly attendance of almost 9000. And that's just an average week.

*inhales deeply*

This thread reeks of terrorism doom porn fantasies. I'm looking for any verifiable links to the cell phones and explosives. If I missed it can someone point it out for me?

And there is a Mosque within 50 miles? Well # Earl do you wanna load up the truck or should I?

OH please, pretty please let Islamic extremists, connected to Isis, attack a Christian church or group, or landmark, for the specific purpose of getting rid of the infidels. The inevitable "back door penetration" without lubricant that would in insue....

Now I'm not saying I hope a church gets attacked, don't read too much into the first sentence.
I personally don't see anything of the sort happening any time soon, they can not be that incredibly stupid, they wouldn't have made it this far.

As I have mentioned before. "Hit em where it hurts". What a better soft target (most of them) than a group of folks worshipping our God... Not banging our heads on the floor and barefooted.

I counted 6 CC at church on Sunday. .. excluding those who carry in backpacks and purses.... I pitty the fool that attempts to disrupt our services. ... not really....

If I were a terrorist and really wanted to screw things up, I'd attack the safety blanket known as small town America, because then no one would feel safe! Be safe people. Be vigilant. Carry a big stick.

You guys are hitting all around the mark but not quite on it.

So lets say a cell in this location has been planning an attack that has to happen on a specific day (maybe it has to be coordinated with other cell attacks). This cell has put together a large cache of homemade explosives and stashed it in the woods. Now along comes the hunter and he uncovers the cache. Well now what? Its taken the cell a good while to produce all of that explosive and they have ran through their money purchasing the chemicals and.....entertaining themselves at local establishments...so now they have to replace their material. They decide to steal the propane cylinders. They can use the remaining explosives that they were still working on and combine them with the propane to get the boom they are looking for and they dont need to produce the additional chemical explosives.

So now where or what is the target........There are only so many bridges over the Mississippi river.

Very interesting. If what you say is true then it supports what Donald Trump says. Also, maybe we should consider forcing all Muslims out of North America. Boy...just saying that, I'm sure, will warrant either a surprise visit from local authorities or a massive back-lash from the politically correct legions in society. However, if sleeper cells are as described, around all American cities and such, than the whole idea of radical reassessment of allowing others to coexist among the salt of the earth ( the average garden variety honest, hard working, make a buck to survive, supporter of Law and God loving ) citizen may be necessary. I know for a fact there are decent and loving Muslims here yet there are those who do not share that mentality and obviously are a threat to us and our neighbors. If there are as many of hateful Muslims among us, as this thread infers, than all govt. officials should be honest with us and make the facts known. BTW- I live in K.C. Mo, and reports from local news sources concerning strange phones sales and the theft of butane bottles has many people paranoid at this time. As a result, everyone i know is suspicious of bizarre behavior and those who have not purchased firearms earlier are considering doing so now.

Obviously we live in dangerous times. I'm not one to "yell FIRE in a crowded theater," but i do believe it's time to be cognizant of the threats in our environment. This is something new in America and without the proper leadership many may panic and make things worse. If was to advise, I'd say report all suspicious activity to the authorities. If you carry weapons, do so with the knowledge necessary before you consider pulling the trigger. One only has the option to use deadly force if they honestly believe their life, or the lives of others, are threatened during the moment. Help the police in their duties and pray all efforts are successful in their attempts to nullify the threat(s) present.

I'm near Ava; here's the local news linkto the cellphone buy there. And here's what I had to say about Ava in the cell phone thread:

One of the incidents happened in Ava on Saturday. I lived in Ava most of my adult life, and I still shop there fairly often. Usually at Walmart. I can say with certainty that the Ava Walmart wasn't running any phone sales this past Saturday.

Here's a little info about Ava: it's tiny. It has a population of less than 3,000. It's not on the way to anywhere. It's literally in the middle of nowhere. The nearest towns (half an hour away) are even smaller. The closest place of any size is Springfield, and THAT'S about an hour away.

No one just happens to come to Ava, or stops in as they're going to somewhere else. And though Ava has 4 convenience stores, they're not the kind of places that someone's gonna run out to Walmart and buy cell phones to stock. They're all big chains. There are two Casey's, a Signal, and a Murphy's attached to Walmart. There are also Walmarts much, much closer to every single town in the area.

The Ava police say "a man of middle eastern descent" tried to purchase 60 phones. He was from Michigan. Now, I might take with a grain of salt the ability of Ava police to accurately identify a "person of middle eastern descent," but it's INCREDIBLY suspicious for this to have happened. If it were someone more local, I'd think it was meth-related. But Michigan?

The whole "buying them to restock a cell store or convenience store" doesn't fit here. Because there ARE no cell stores closer than Springfield, and the couple convenience stores that sell phones 1)don't sell the same brands that Walmart does and 2) still have phones that have been sitting there for 2-3 years gathering dust, because people go buy them...at Walmart, where they're cheaper. And quite frankly, 60 phones would nearly wipe out this Walmart's stock, lol.

Now, I'm not screaming "terrorists" or Muslim-bashing here. I have no idea what's going on. But in the 15 years or so this store has been open, I've never, EVER heard of anything like this.
