Find another psychic or whatever past-life "expert" you can find. Don't reveal anything about having been a mermaid. See if the other psychic(s) tell you the same thing. If it's true than all of the "experts" should see the same things.

Actually, a good deal of folks who involve themselves in the new age metaphysical concepts believe this sort of thing.
Doreen Virtue, wrote a book called Earth Angels. In the book she explores what we could have been in a past life or what I would think to be, in a past life between worlds like in between dimensions or something.
