Right but they still weren't put through the vetting process we are talking about now with Syrian Refugees.

No I don't usually say the government is good at much other than war and lying. But the fact remains that the vetting system for Syrian Refugees is pretty involved.

Documentation from foreign countries is often missing or forged easily.

Okay but is that good enough reason to halt ALL immigration from certain groups of people? Besides ISIS would have an easier time it seems, to me at least, to radicalize some American youth already disenfranchised with the system to carry out acts of terror on American soil.

I wasn't implying it was perfect, I simply refuse to believe it's as poor as the EU's standards right now.

~Tenth

I would think that a terrorist trying to sneak into the US would be pretty foolish to do so under the guise of a Syrian refugee right now.

I would have thought that the US is keeping a pretty keen eye on them right now.

It would make far more sense to enter as a business man or tourist or even sneak over the border but not as a Syrian refugee that would be plain stupidity imo.

Why do you think it'd be stupid to come over with the refugees? These guys are being sent here, they're not going to truthfully answer the questions being asked to them. They're going to act just like a refugee. Come on man.

How about this....Because regardless of how they answer the questions, it still takes 2 to 3 yrs to get vetted and cleared to enter the U.S., when they could just hire a coyote to bring them across our southern border next week.

Come on man!

Good point I hadn't thought of yet. But I have to ask, where do they sit for those two to three years while they wait? Back in their war torn country, or somewhere here or what? (I really don't know)

On the sneaking in over the southern border, I've been talking about that since ISIS first threatened us.

It's my understanding they will reside in one of the European host countries while being vetted, which also makes them easy to watch during that period.

What about the hatred and fear that leads to Muslims trying to murder people over cartoons? What about the hate and fear that leads young Muslims to blow up bombs at running marathons?

What about it? It has absolutely nothing to do with me. It's MY life that I control. It is MY hatred and MY fear that I am responsible for. And right now, I'm refusing to let either be my master.

It warms my heart to see Islam being defended with such fervor.

A religion that has a WORSE track record on women, and gay rights than that other most villainous one that starts with a C.

That's funny!

Wasn't it that C faith that burned witches at the stake?

Didn't the papal Inquisition originate from that C faith?

Wasn't it that C faith that sent their missionaries to Promote their ideology in Africa including and even concentrating on the persecution of gays?

Is a Nun's habit that much different than a burka?

Remember when women in America couldn't even vote?

Remember when girls couldn't wear pants to school unless the outside temp. was deemed to be cold enough to allow it?

Worse indeed.

Those mean ol Christians! Do you have anything more recent than the 11th and 17th centuries? Voting in America, and wearing dresses wasn't enacted or changed in the name of Christianity.

Sure, how about the beating death of Lucas Leonard in the sanctuary of "The Word of Life Christian Church" in upstate New York way back in October of this year. All he wanted to do was to leave the church.

Recent enough for ya?

"The Word of Life...." Kind or ironic, wouldn't you agree?

Kindergarten. Period.

Meh... but... but... he stole my shovel first.(!)

Right, and moronic fools still think their War on Terror brings love, peace and understanding into this croocked world of profits, influence and mil.-ind. complexes. Laughable at best, Idiocracy at it's finest.

What the heck did you warmongers expect? Confetti for every drone strike or precisely this escalation of violence?

You obviously follow the official narrative to the last bit of disinfo, ever heard of Op Gladio or the Strategy of Tension? No? Well done!
Stay far away from Gansers work then. ATS might not be the best place to reaffirm your delusional state of mind, just saying. Deny ignorance for a day, just give it a fricken try! Will ya?

This place is starting to feel a bit like germany must have in the early '30s. irrational fear leading to genuine violence (complete with nazi graffiti). i hope if it gets too serious we have enough good people left to stop these dangerous fools.

"First they came for the socialists, and i did not speak out- Because i was not a socialist.

Then they came for the trade unionists, and i did not speak out- Because i was not a trade unionist.

Then they came for the jews, and i did not speak out- Because i was not a jew.

Then they came for me- and there was no one left to speak for me." -Martin Niemoller

unchecked hatred and irrational fear can snowball. it's best we not forget the lessons our grandfathers and great grandfathers had to learn the hard way.

But what's also known to most, is that the government has already warned Americans that ISIS is trying to sneak over here with Syrian refugees.

"The government" also said that right wing gun owners are a threat...
Do you believe that as well?

Let me guess...

Depends... Why would an agency claiming such a thing, say something that goes directly against what their dear leader wishes?

You answered my very simple question with another question?

To what end does that help me understand.

You believe the government when they tell you ISIS has infiltrated refugees...

Do you believe the government when they say that right wing gun owners are a threat?

Simple yes or no.

Funny how sometimes Americans don't realize the biggest security threat they face is themselves.

Indeed. Everything is going exactly according to plan for both ISIS and the American shadow government, and all they had to do was encourage a little fear and unrest in the populace. It's almost too easy.

Whether my view is "acceptable"?
I am free to like or dislike any person, persons, groups or religions I want.

Like I said, if we don't like someone we're the bad guys.

To be clear it's the historical view of Islam that makes me believe they are incompatible with Western values; including freedom and equality for women, for gays for everyone who doesn't believe as they do.
There has been a caliphate for 1200 years until the end of the Ottoman Empire.
Britain and France divided the middle east in to the states with the idea of destroying pan-Arabism.
Islam is the key component to uniting Arabic people against the West or Israel (which was created by the British as a military counter balance to the Arab countries.

It is the Caliphate which has only lain dormant for 90 years.
Islam has as much political effect and economic effect as it does religious.
We are separate systems of living that cannot find a friendly middle ground.
Reason being they have already declared war on everyone who does not believe in the prophet.
Islam was born by the point of the sword.

I'm not a bigot because I don't believe either side is the good guy here.
Islam against the West is 2 evil systems vying for control and using us as pawns.
The West is run by godless heathens without morals and the East by a religious code from the middle ages.
I'd like a 3rd choice really.

Maybe it's just me, but the media does a good job at spreading hate and division as well, and people feed into it...
The 99% against the 1%
Black against white, or BLM
Police officers that use excessive force
Police officers that kill other races
Terrorism, hate crimes, extremist

Maybe there's a lack of coverage in the love and compassion area.

Unless of course it's a hatred and fear of "right wingers", gun owners and your fellow American.

Who cares as long as its someone else, right? What about it? Really? Yes, people actually being killed by hate doesn't matter, but lets continue to fear mongering about evil hateful Americans not liking Islam!

The irrational fear seems to be the fear you have for your fellow Americans. Yet, you blow off Muslims killing people pretty frequently over their hatred for Americans.

Yep. People are going to work themselves into a fear-filled frenzy which is going to have blowback, then retaliation, rinse and repeat.

I believe this is how war drums are beat/played.

Instill fear like you are building a house of dry kindling and matchbooks. Then just wait for a match to drop. It's inevitable, unless someone soaks the wood and matches in truth, logic and compassion.
