Your post is basically nothing. You don't respond to any facts just a bunch of hyperbole about nothing. You said:
Medical cures have nothing to do with an invasion of privacy of people's online data. Tossing out such distractions only weakens your position further.
Privacy of people's online data? Who would be looking at your tweets or facebook posts? It would be an intelligent algorithm going over the data not an actual human being so this point is just silly. Also, you do know when you post on twitter and facebook other people can see your post so it's far from private. It's not about Medical cures it's about the information that will be used to come up with those cures. The information will be private medical records and most of those records will never be seen by human eyes. The intelligent algorithms will be going over the data.

This again is my point and this is why I quoted facts about predictive analytics and big data and you responded with hyperbole as Ted Cruz and others do.

The fact is, if we don't let the Government and other research agencies have this data we will be left in the dust of our ignorance. Other Countries will be ahead of us by leaps and bounds if they're machine intelligence is going over this data and we're still stuck in a cave mentality talking about privacy.

It has nothing to do with privacy because no one will ever see most of the data that's used. This is because there's just too much data.

The reason human intelligence will not be enough is because as data increases so will the communications between the terrorists. We will never be able to stop or disrupt anything. They're talking about using drones and other technology against us and they have shown themselves to have a 6th Century mentality but very astute when it comes to the use of social media and modern technology.
Again, IBM said this in 2013:
Every day, we create 2.5 quintillion bytes of data — so much that 90% of the data in the world today has been created in the last two years alone. This data comes from everywhere: sensors used to gather climate information, posts to social media sites, digital pictures and videos, purchase transaction records, and cell phone GPS signals to name a few. This data is big data.
We have to let intelligent algorithms have access to this data. If we're stuck in an ignorant mindset and terrorist have a more modern view of technology than we do then we're doomed.
