A320neo launch customer switched

Airbus has announced that the new launch customer for the A320neo will be Lufthansa, with the first aircraft to be delivered December 22nd. The original launch customer was to be Qatar.

The change is a result of engine problems with the Pratt&Whitney geared turbofan left Qatar unwilling to accept the aircraft. Currently the engine requires a three minute warmup before the aircraft can taxi. Pratt has plans to change the shaft bearing and update the software, which will remove that restriction.
