Meanwhile, the TPP slips by unopposed, as so many people argue about something that is never going to change...

I really do feel like mass-shootings are the wrong justification for gun control. When so many accidental killings and suicides are out there...

By the way, all of you who are saying they'll take your guns [over your dead body], so on and so forth, why don't you go out and actually fight for your other rights? I mean, if the whole point of you having guns is so you can defend your right to have guns, you can't deny that it does seem a bit gun-humping insane.

Because, you know, terrorists obey the law

That's not the point, the point is that if you decrease the number of assault weapons in the country then it will be harder and more expensive for criminals and terrorists to get them, legally or illegally. You know, the whole supply and demand thing.

The biggest issue would be the transition phase. The US already has guns leaking out of every orifice, and there's that whole ultra-corrupt-police-force thing as well.

Hardest part of Marksmanship were 3 nasty hills at Knox,Agony ,Heartbreak and Misery.
The worst range i had was in Korea. I forgot the name of it but it had two problems: the lanes were uneven in terrain. you could have a normal lane if lucky but if you got the wrong lane you were shooting up a hill all the way. not only that, there was a ROKA compound beyond the 300 meter target so there were wooden restrictors that prevented your rifle to elevate enough to hit the ROKAs. but it was tight and if your elevation setting for your zero was low you were screwed on the 300 meter target because you literally could not line up on the 300 meter target...

But then there was time the Ft Hood TAB commander insisted on using artillery simulators and smoke to make the official freaking qualification range more realistic. no- not a supplemental training range event. the real qualification range. the one your promotion point count depends on. The one your qualification as a fighting soldier counts on. The one officers OER or non-commissioned officer NCOER is effected by. The one his unit readiness stats are effected by.

I can't wait to get the f***k out of this whack job country called the US. This country is run by liars, cheaters, knee jerk morons, Political Correctness Crusaders and wannabe tyrants....

I'm sorry to say I lost my respect for all the leaders of America. I'm just glad I will be moving back to my home country in the near future. I wish my parents kept me there.

To all the US citizens out there. I will say this. You'd better get your house in order or you could be faced with dealing with a more rigid freedom oppressed country. That is no joke.

Take batman Harvey Dent's words as good measure " You can only be a hero for so long before you become the villain you swore to fight against."

Quite poetically in this case, if fuhrer Trump is victorious.

I'm curious though, whence does your anger stem? From the rather petty issues like "waah, waah, they're taking my guns", or the more serious ones like massive institutional corruption?

Everything in the past 20 years. The systemic institutional corruption is so blatant, I'm shocked the average american isn't even the slightest bit outraged by it. This small topping is just a number on a large steaming pile of everything messed up with this country. I don't want myself or my families future any part of it.

It's hard to opt out these days
Unless you're willing to get off the grid. That takes real commitment.

That is exactly why I am no longer dealing with it. So glad I kept my german citizenship alive all these years. Good luck dealing with this garbage. I'm sure your leaders will have your best interests at heart. LMAO.

The only politician I'm aware of that's trying to deal with all the corruption is Sanders. Unfortunately, people hear "Socialism" and stick their head in the stand. To remain pertinent to the topic at hand, I'm pretty sure he's even relatively pro-gun.

I wonder how hard it is to get a German citizenship. I wonder if my grandmother still has hers...
Though I'm Australian, not 'Murican.

Shotguns were not part of the AWB.

you do know a ar 15 isn't considered a high powered rifle it is chambered for 5.56mm which in civilian terms is a varmint control ie coyote and rabits and such maybe the rare bobcat or fox. a high powered rifle would be a .308 or 30-06 those rifles if they scoped right can hit targets out 7 to 8 hundred yards

This absolutely maddening. Given then FACT that no mass shooter used the gun show loophole. The ASWB of the Clinton Era did little, and it sure didn't stop Columbine. Why yes people it's only common sense to keep pushing the exact things they have for the past seven years. What really irks me is where do they get off telling me what I need or don't need.

What's absolutely maddening is 'muricans like you who think they need powerful firearms such as assault rifles and are willing to bend all logic and common sense to defend your insane belief...

Oh you poor thing, don't the people running the range know that shooting ranges should be straight and level with no obstructions to match the conditions you would find every time you go to shoot something/one in reality, oh wait...

Apparently you do not understand the purpose of a zero and qualification range. it is not to simulate real battle field conditions. there are all sorts of supplemental training facilities and ranges for that. E.G; M.O.U.T training. NBC Qual. Night fire.

if you were in the military you would know what the purpose of a qualification range is; which you clearly don't. I have BTDT for 20 years, retired and got the T shirt. I don't need some peanut gallery chair borne parrot to critique me about military training.

You probably haz M4d Sk1lz in FPS combat video games though which i guess qualifies you to AAR my post 20 year career ass.

I'm actually starting to think that Obama may have a stake in the firearms market, considering all his limp wrist anti-gun statements do is sell them by the millions.

Has anyone ever looked into this? Or are the liberals really that ****ing stupid?

We all know guns don't shoot people ,
so let's all get a nuclear bomb , or three .
Everyone knows , nuclear weapons don't kill people
.... right ?
Machine guns are for pussies .
I demand my right to have and own a great big nuke.
Of course I need to hunt my food, and keep my big
brother outside , gonna need an open carry license,
cos concealing it on my person could be a little tricky .
trust me .....

2nd. is outdated , just be happy with a pistol .

So you chose to ignore the hunting element of my post. Yes I have little knowledge of guns, like most people not raised around guns. I can name the standard ones you played on video games 15 years ago but that's all. You know you would be authorised a special license anyway. (Protecting agriculture, fook knows).

My point still remains valid, other than hunting (yes I know you won't call it hunting to ignore the main premise of my point) there is no need for these weapons. It's clear my knowledge is limited on model types, doesn't make the point invalid.

I'll step in here. I use my "assault" rifle for hunting. To be legal I have to limit my magazine to 5 rounds which I have done. I've never put more than 2 bullets in it while hunting and never used more than one. I bought the rifle years ago and got a great deal on it. The issue of need is irrelevant to me. I bought it, it's what I have, I see no reason to go out and buy a single shot rifle, it sits in my safe most of the year with the exception of trips to the rifle range. I feel it harms no one, and there is no reason I shouldn't have it. Those are my reasons. I didn't spout the usual "it's not the bill of needs nonsense" although I do agree with that. I like to have my own thoughts and not throw out the usual rhetoric. Another reason I like the rifle is ammo is relatively cheap and I can go to the range and send a few hundred rounds down range. I can't imagine using it for self defense because the bullets would go through my walls and endanger my neighbors. I'd simply grab one of my pistols for that. I also keep the rifle because I know my kids most likely will not be able to buy them so I can hand them down.
