Activist hacking group Anonymous have declared this Friday, December 11, a "trolling day" against the so-called terrorist group Islamic State (ISIS) as part of its cyber campaign against the militant Islamist group.

In an online message, Anonymous asked people to mock ISIS, or "Daesh" as it is also known in the West (a derogatory term for the group) online as part of its "Operation ISIS" campaign.

"We ask you to show your support and help against ISIS by joining us and trolling them // do not think you have to be part of Anonymous, anyone can do this and does not require special skills."

He he our local news guy said deuch... as in bag....

Maybe they can give them a negative review on Yelp too.

Why not just show the world their locations? Or perhaps specific people in charge? or maybe leaking extremely important information?

This is nothing more than another "Draw Muhammad day", it achieves nothing.

I expect more from Anonymous.

Hopefully this is just some idiot who claims to be Anonymous, rather than the group who has achieved at least some decent exposure in the past.

I could NOT agree more Ghost. Afterall, if they ARE so powerfully endowed, why have they been so silent. I would at least expect them to run some magical packets and port into a server somewhere and expose these animals... ( wait, animals ... that is too good for these huck feads

My FB avatar is a ISIS hunting permit.

Wish I could change my ATS avatar to it but I'm a "moran"...

This merely reinforces to me that, just like anonymous, ISIS is a western alphabet agency creation.

When anon deposits $1 million into my bank and when ISIS beheads and burns banksters, global elites, politicians, I might take them seriously but until then, imo, they are both government created trolls designed to split society and breed hate - and all MSM disseminated propaganda to date reinforces that.

Do you not find it weird that ISIS is an oil producer when they are not posting HD beheading videos threatening the west, but they are *crickets* when it comes to Israel?

No. That seems to be a pretty common thing these days. Not really weird at all, unfortunately

Unfortunately trolling ISIS will inevitably turn into trolling Muslims

Also isn't a bit childish to troll a terrorist organisation ?

Do they think the ISIS members will run to their mothers crying that they're getting bullied on the internet ?

I find this to be so comical. Anonymous wants to hack ISIS.

If ISIS ran into Anonymous they would hack them too.

I think the long/short term effect will be 'dangerous' to some extent

Interesting , so the way to get back at ISIS is via middle school tactics?

Me thinks Anon needs to come up with better ways to stay relevant.

I'm not sure if childish is the right word, stupid seems more appropriate.

Why would an average joe choose to mock a fanitical group known for extreme violence against those who speak out against them and their religion?
