Actor Nicholas Smith who played the role of Mr Rumbold in the BBC Comedy Series " Are You Being Served " has passed away age 81. He was the last surviving member of the original cast. Known with the nickname of " Jug Ears " by his fellow workers in the series.
I believe this comedy went down very well in The U.S. for some reason.

R.I.P. Nicholas.

Well, i liked it, but I have a little more respect for the people and countries of the Old World than the average American. I enjoyed "Keeping Up Appearances" for background noise as well.

Beats setting your toddler in front of Sesame St.

The last of the original cast as well. Sorry to hear about his passing, didn't realise until today that his daughter is in Holby City (Hospital based drama TV series in the UK).
