They Haven’t Been Wrong Since 1975 And They Say Our Next President Will Be…

Western Illinois University, the only entity that’s predicted every single presidential election with 100 percent accuracy since 1975, just announced that its mock election sent Sen. Sanders and Martin O’Malley (D-Md.) to the White House in 2016 as President and Vice President, respectively.

Good news? I would think so...better than Trump or Clinton or God forbid Bush...

Yeah, that's great news if you are a communist and think the US Constitution is just a piece of paper.

I'm Canadian, so I may not quite understand the system, but no one voted for Hillary Clinton? All jokes aside, surely someone would? Is she not in the running anymore?

Have you seen what universities have turned into in the last decade, especially the last few years?

All bets are off.

Agreed! Unless the polling places have designated "safe places", I just can't imagine some of these fragile flowers to even be courageous enough to actually step out into the real world.....

Those other names might not even have been on the ballot because they might have represented microagressions. Can you imagine how damaging seeing the name "Ted Cruz" on a ballot might be to someone who firmly "feels the Bern?"

And what party do you think represents that?

I am not American so the following is just opinion. As a proud Liberal, I was glad when Trudeau was elected and so it would be an even greater outcome if Sanders got elected...those two...would working together would be great.

What party do you think would keep the constitution? Sure as heck wouldn't be Trump with his "database on Muslims"..sounds like Nazi Germany

Except Bush doesn't even have 3% support among his own party and has no chance of getting the Republican nomination. How do you see Sanders running against Bush...especially since Sanders is also unlikely to win his party's nomination?

This is a VERY unlikely scenario. I would put money on this NOT being right and I don't bet.

The main concern that I would have with the idea of resting easy because a very effective poll predictor has marked a democrat to take the win, is that it will have been forty one years since this group was last incorrect. That increases the possibility that they might make an error, rather than reducing it. Complacency sets in after a time, and is the enemy of all reliability!

Like for reals?

Wow. That's pretty...umm...I'm dumb.

Some of the brightest minds I know are among my son's friends. Brilliant even.

And did the part about "since 1975" not get through? Were you young and dumb then? Or were you born an Einstein?

Unreal.

Well for me if it comes down to Sanders and Bush I will be voting for Gary Johnson. No way I vote for either of those two candidates. One of them is an Socialist Authoritarian and the other is an Establishment Authoritarian. Both of them want to control my life so I lose either way.

If it came down to those two I would make my way over to that place that has Ted Williams's head frozen and ask them to throw mine in there as well with a 'defrost in 2020' order.

My 5-year-old is pretty brilliant too, but he has el zilcho in the wisdom department, and that's the problem with kids on a campus. They think that because they're at college, they know everything and no one else knows anything. I know, I was there once.

I take the Emma Goldman line of thinking when it comes to elections

If voting changed anything, they'd make it illegal
