well its not like we are invading again, we are still there. Lets be serious though, with all the bases and air superiority, how exactly can they stop US?? The UN may listen, but its not as if a resolution against a security council member is ever going anywhere.

Iraq demands Turkish troops withdraw from near Mosul

The Iraqi government has demanded that Turkey withdraw troops it sent to an area near the northern city of Mosul.

The move was a "serious breach of Iraqi sovereignty" Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi's office said in a statement.

About 150 Turkish soldiers have been deployed near in the town of Bashiqa to train Iraqi Kurdish forces, earlier reports said.

“The Iraqi authorities call on Turkey to respect good neighbourly relations and to withdraw immediately from the Iraqi territory,” the statement said, stressing that the Turkish troops entered “without the request or authorization from the Iraqi federal authorities,” which is a “serious breach of Iraqi sovereignty.”

The foreign ministry called Turkey’s move “an incursion,” Reuters reported.

However, according to two US defense officials quoted by Reuters, Turkey’s deployment is not part of the efforts of the US-led coalition battling Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL).

Only partly true the order bush had signed ended to extend us troops stay required a negotiation. The Obama's administration was unwilling to negotiate with iraq. This means the central govt in Iraq panicked knowing that they barely have any control of there provinces. So they had to talk tough and seek backing. They found it in Iran however at a heavy price. They started removing people who were not shia from the coalition govt. At this point the Iraqi govt just like the a gab govt doesn't exist except on paper. In both cases they couldn't get over this sunni and show conflict and both countries is going right back to war lords leading the countries.

This means huge areas of Iraq are no longer under their control. The Iraq forces have managed to keep near bagdad however the north is now kiddish and the south sunni. Bottom line the obama wanted out didn't want to discuss further troop involvement other than a force of 10000. you can't bring democracy to the middle east it's a waist of time. ISlam by its very nature doesn't recognize free will.

Oh no. they would just surrender yet again. and be given 3 meals a day as POW's. This is why setting them up in a government was a bad idea. Backstabbing. Its a Iraqis bread and butter.
