And all those people have long since retired, probably even dead. The Eurofighter designers are likely retired, too, for that matter. There's
knowledge that can only be retained about doing.
That's why what the USA is even doing makes me nervous. Even black project systems, unless there are enough to do a real production run, are
insufficient for maintaining an industrial base: its one thing to be able to design a one off and get it flying. Its completely different to design
something for a production line.
Anyways, Rolls Royce has
