If he doesnt surrender and starts pointing a gun he forfeits his life card. Right now the only person that can save him is the suspect himself.

Terrorism attacks are usually a one way plan. The fact they engaged police and not everyone they came across suggests this is something else.

Why not?

Risk vs. Return...If they had well trained and willing shooters ...A facility for the developmentally disabled would be about 10,000th on the list...and the San Bernardino County holiday party being hosted there would be 900th.

It doesn't make sense any way you look at it as a ISIS target..if they had the means (which these shooters did) they would have chosen a 1000 other targets of more significant practical or symbolic value.

If someone knew the facility well enough to know the hall had such soft security, they likely also knew it was rented out today too.

I am guessing they could care less who rented it. So, in this case, it was likely just the bad luck of the county health dept.

Or it's a conspiracy between a disgruntled employee of the facility and one at county health.
